The front desk was a major problem. Despite being a Ctrip member, which should allow for a 4-hour early check-in, the hotel insisted their check-in time was 3 PM, making it seem like I was asking for a huge favor by trying to check in early. Ctrip had left a note on the reservation for the hotel, but it was as if they never received it, as no preparations or notes were made. I was ready to check in around 12:50 PM, but had to wait for about half an hour before finally getting my room. Meanwhile, the Ctrip customer service couldn't even reach the front desk. The hotel's excuse was that the room wasn't ready due to cleaning, yet when I pulled back the duvet, I found a black hair and yellow stains. To top it off, there was no bottled water in the room when I entered (I only realized this a few hours later when I wanted a drink). Throughout this, Ctrip's customer service was incredibly helpful, constantly and actively trying to contact the hotel to resolve the issues. The restaurant staff were polite and welcoming, though the food wasn't to my taste. Apart from the front desk, the concierge team was very polite. The hotel's location is indeed good; you can see hot air balloons from your room right after waking up. However, neighboring hotels offer the same view, so I wouldn't recommend booking specifically for that. Especially if you don't speak English, as Ctrip might have trouble contacting the hotel if any problems arise. Furthermore, the hotel's facilities are a bit dated.
