Steigenberger Nile Palace Luxor - Convention Center ★★★★★
"I booked a Nile view room, and overall it was pretty good. The only thing is I didn't see any hot air balloons for two days, which was a bit strange. The hotel has its own pier where you can enjoy the sunset on the Nile. The Thai restaurant on the first floor definitely caters to Chinese palates; we ate there three times, it was so delicious! The hotel breakfast was just okay, and the staff weren't very enthusiastic. I was a little surprised to see 'Happy Chinese New Year' right when I entered the lobby, possibly because it's been acquired by Huazhu Hotels Group."
El Nakhil Hotel ★★★
"The room is big and quiet, and there is a big swimming pool, but there is no toothbrush or toothpaste! Charging plugs need to be purchased in advance. Breakfast is on the second floor, but they can also be delivered to the room. The boss packed breakfast for us to take with us on the road. Since we were leaving early, we thought we might not be able to have breakfast! This still makes people feel warm! The hotel is on the west bank of the river and the airport is on the east bank. It is quite expensive to take a taxi to the west bank. You can go to the east bank boat station and take a boat for 20 pounds and it will take you to the west bank in 10 minutes. It is quite convenient."
Steigenberger Achti Resort Luxor ★★★★★
"Not enough Chinese food options, I'd suggest adding more. The service was excellent! Ola and Yasmin were super helpful! My English isn't great, but they were both very patient with me! ❤️"
Jolie Ville Hotel & Spa Kings Island Luxor ★★★★★
"I wouldn't recommend staying here. When we checked in, we reported that the kettle was broken, but then they accused us of breaking it and forced us to pay 1000 EGP upon checkout. I'm curious, what kind of kettle costs 1000 EGP? Furthermore, the attitude towards Chinese guests during check-in was very poor; it took half an hour just to wait for check-in, and the whole process took 50 minutes. Also, if you don't tip the staff, they won't even talk to you. I gave 50 EGP and they still wouldn't help with my luggage; the bellboy explicitly asked for 100 EGP 🕺. I really don't understand where all the good reviews are coming from. As a diamond member, I rarely leave bad reviews, but I just couldn't hold back this time; a negative review is absolutely necessary."
Sonesta St. George Hotel - Convention Center ★★★★★
"Good location and great in cleanliness. The hotel buffet breakfast was awesome and with a good price. Comfortable bed and spacious room and I would highly recommend this hotel in Luxor."
Queens Valley Hotel, Restaurants, Bars and Spa Luxor ★★★
"A budget hotel that wins points for its central location and amazing view of Luxor Temple. It's a perfect spot for accessing the Nile and local museums. The reception staff were friendly, though the overall organization was lacking. We were asked for our room number four times at breakfast because they didn't have us registered correctly. The food is simple, and it would be an improvement to offer two eggs per person. The room (416) had a couple of issues: a leaking sink pipe and a balcony door that wouldn't close properly. We asked to change rooms, but the other option was worse. For the price and location, it's fine for a single night, but don't expect a flawless stay."
Temple Hotel by Voyage Luxor ★★★★
"When I pulled a drawer, the handle came right off. Then, when I turned on the bathroom faucet, that also came off! I quickly put them back on, worried I'd be charged for them. Overall, it didn't feel worth the price. Though, perhaps other hotels in Luxor are even worse."
Iberotel Luxor by JAZ ★★★★
"The hotel's location is great, making it super convenient for getting around and shopping. The room was clean and tidy, with complete amenities, and the living environment was quiet and comfortable. The staff were polite and attentive, making for a good overall stay. It offers decent value for money and is perfect for a temporary stay while traveling."
Lotus Luxor Hotel ★★★★
"The only downside to this hotel was that my room had a side view of the Nile, otherwise everything else was great, including a lovely little balcony. The location is excellent – not only do you get a view of the Nile, but it's also close to the pool, dining options, and hot air balloon bookings. Magic Horizon is just across the street, and King Tut's is upstairs in a nearby alley. There are two Chinese restaurants within walking distance, and Luxor Temple is also walkable if you're up for it. The breakfast was very good. Although the elevator is small, it's pretty normal, not one of those run-down versions. The shower and bed were both good."

Al Moudira Hotel
"My wife and I have visited Moudira several times over the years, and each stay leaves us newly impressed by the vision, creativity, and refined taste the owners have invested in this extraordinary place. The courtyards and walled gardens blend seamlessly into the surrounding landscape, while each room is individually designed and decorated with great care and character. Our room featured a cushioned alcove where I spent many peaceful afternoons listening to birdsong and the gentle sound of water from a nearby fountain. The five restaurants — especially the recently opened farm restaurant — offer cuisine that is both authentic and inventive, allowing us to enjoy lunch and dinner on-site for an entire week without ever feeling the need to dine elsewhere. The staff provide attentive yet unobtrusive service, often remembering even the smallest details mentioned in passing. We left feeling truly rested and restored in a way we had not experienced in years."

St.Joseph Hotel
"I think it's worth the price. The location depends on what you want to do, but since we ended up going to the Luxor Temple area, it was a little inconvenient for us. There were a few cafes and restaurants near the hotel. There's a supermarket about 15 minutes away, and a shop where you can buy drinks about a 5-minute walk away. We also checked about bicycle rentals at the hotel, and they said it was $10 for one bike, so we walked about 20 minutes to a rental shop to rent one. In the end, it cost us 600 Egyptian pounds for two bikes, which was expensive, but the rental bikes are easier to ride because they are rental bikes."
Rezeiky Hotel & Camp
"It’s very nice and quiet, comfortable, everything is nice .love Egypt Love Luxor, and the staff is very elegant and friendly very professional 😝(so sorry i forgot your name 🥹)see you next time!!"
Shady Hotel Luxor
"It's close to the station, but the road to the hotel is not well-maintained (this is true throughout Egypt), so if you have large luggage, it might be better to take a taxi. The hotel will arrange anything, including felucca, balloon, and transfer to the ruins. I had already booked the balloon and transfer to the ruins, so they arranged the felucca, but the time... I think the time was a little early. I came back just as other tourists were going out to the Nile to watch the sunset... To be honest, I think I would have been more satisfied if I had directly negotiated with the boatman along the Nile at the time of the scenery I wanted to see. Hot water came out well and the water pressure was perfect. The only amenities were bar soap. There was no hair dryer in the room. I used one I brought with me, so I'm not sure if I can borrow one from the front desk. There was a bathtub, but it wasn't cleaned. In fact, the drain was clogged from the beginning, and my hair got mixed in, which was awful. The refrigerator was very cold, but I wonder if the air conditioner is controlled by the front desk? It didn't turn on even when I pressed the switch, so I asked the front desk and they turned it on for me. There is an elevator. The clogged bathtub was the worst, but the hotel staff were all so kind (I told them I needed glue and they went out of their way to buy it for me!), and it was the only relief I felt in the rip-off town of Luxor lol. Thank you for your help."
Mövenpick MS Royal Lotus Nile Cruise
"Well-maintained ship and a lovely, relatively spacious cabin. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good food with plenty of choice. 50% Egyptian cuisine. We traveled in December. Still, make sure to turn on the air conditioning!"
Susanna Hotel Luxor
"Right by Luxor Temple. The accommodation was just okay."
Gaddis Hotel, Suites and Apartments
"The location of this hotel is average, about 5 minutes' drive from the pier in the city center, but it takes 15 minutes to walk. There are no special businesses or shopping places nearby. There is a KFC across the road and I had two meals there. The hotel was renovated about 20 years ago, so it has a very shabby luxury feel. The hotel's elevator also needs to be opened manually, which is very nostalgic and not modern at all. But it is also a hotel that meets the basic requirements."
Karnak Hotel Luxor
"It costs 50 Egyptian pounds to take a taxi from the train station. It's not bad. It's opposite the Hilton. The hotel staff is quite friendly. The breakfast is simple. It's cost-effective. However, the hot water needs to be left for ten minutes before it is hot. The floor is still not that clean."
Mara House Luxor
"Researching my trip to southern Egypt, I was lucky to happen upon Mara's website. Mara's posted itineraries and pointers made it really easy to figure out what I basically wanted to see and do. I then emailed Mara, who finalized a program and sent me a very reasonable quote, covering travel, sightseeing, and (Luxor) accommodation. Her communication was responsive and to the point, I could feel that my vacation was in the right hands. When eventually I landed in Luxor, there was literally nothing I needed to take care of anymore for my entire trip - she and her staff had arranged it all, cars, drivers, guides, entrance tickets, lunch stops, in and around Luxor, Aswan, and Abu Simbel. Everything ran safely and on time, and I could just focus on the awe-inspiring temples and tombs, desert and Nile. For the four nights I spent in Luxor, the house itself quickly felt like home. My room was in fact an apartment, including comforts like a mineral water-stocked fridge, and air conditioning of course. Amr and his wife cooked a fine breakfast, and every evening all guests caught up over a delicious dinner, with Mara presiding. Located in a residential area not far from the center, Mara House offers very local sights and sounds, which definitely added to the experience. Thank you Mara and team, I am certain that this vacation will remain in my heart."
