This stay was an absolute disaster. The hotel room had no heating, and the windows were completely sealed, so the only ventilation came from the AC, leaving the room so cold it was unbearable. There was only a thin duvet on the bed, which offered no protection against the cold. This was already an issue in the afternoon when it was around 20°C, but things got even worse.
When we called the hotel to complain about the cold, their first reaction was to question if we had 'turned off the AC,' showing a complete lack of concern. The 'blanket' they eventually sent was a thin, pilled throw that provided no warmth whatsoever.
By evening, with the temperature around 15°C, it became unbearable. We called the hotel again, only to be told they 'could only provide one duvet and one blanket,' and no further requests would be met. I insisted it was genuinely cold, and they grudgingly offered to send a space heater. When I asked if they could send two since there were two of us, they said only one was available. By the time the space heater arrived, I just had to laugh. You'll understand why if you look at the accompanying picture.
What was even more shocking was when we stressed that we couldn't sleep due to the cold. The hotel first claimed they 'didn't have any duvets,' then changed their story, saying they 'could add a duvet for 100 RMB.' Is this what they call service? To charge extra for a non-disposable duvet, after lying about not having any in stock! From start to finish, there wasn't a single apology, just impatient excuses and dismissiveness.
In the end, my friend and I had to sleep in extra layers of clothes. My friend, who works out and plays tennis regularly, couldn't stand the temperature either, so it's not like we're just particularly sensitive to the cold.
On top of that, the soundproofing was terrible. We could hear every sound from the adjacent room when they used water. We were just glad we only had to stay one night, but that night, loud and cold, was certainly a unique experience, haha.
For a hotel with such facilities and attitude, costing over 1000 RMB a night, I'm truly speechless.
Summary:
Hardware defects: No heating, ventilation reliant on AC, extremely low room temperature.
Lack of resources: Thin duvet, poor quality blanket, refusal to provide adequate warming items.
Service attitude: Indifferent, impatient, even deceptive and evasive, showing no sense of responsibility.
Extra charges: Absurd 100 RMB charge for an additional duvet.
This hotel completely fails to provide basic accommodation standards. I strongly advise anyone sensitive to cold or who values good service to steer clear!
