"This was my first time staying at The Venetian, and overall, it was a great experience. I called at around 10 PM to spontaneously order a small cake for a birthday, which added a nice touch of ceremony. A big thank you to the tall Indian gentleman who delivered the dessert – he kindly offered to open and pour the wine and wished us a happy birthday (I forgot to ask his name, so I can't thank him by name!). The two porters who helped with our luggage when we checked out also provided excellent service. Thank you, David and Raymond Lin!"

"Staying in the South Wing, the walk from the front desk to the room was long but acceptable. The room was decent, and the bedding was clean. From the window, I could see Studio City and the light rail in the distance. The next morning, I asked a staff member working in the hallway for drinking water and also mentioned that I didn't need the bed sheets changed, etc... The communication was harmonious. I imagine they were happy to see that I had sorted my empty water bottles and other trash. Express checkout was very efficient, thumbs up. The front desk staff were patient, friendly, and professional, also a big thumbs up!"

"I came with my child and specifically booked the hotel's breakfast. We were given a high-floor room, and the customer service was very responsive to our requests, which we were very satisfied with. In the morning, the little baby could eat steamed corn, yam, sweet potato, and purple sweet potato, so even a sensitive baby would be fine. There were also boiled eggs and oatmeal. The adults were also very happy with their food. We could request a bed rail for the child, and they also provided separate shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrush, and cups, which was great! It's just a shame we wasted money on the water park tickets..."

"The room was spacious, new, and decorated in an ocean theme, exuding luxury yet elegance – perfect for photos, as shown. The bed, bathroom, and tea bar amenities were excellent, and I appreciated not needing an adapter for charging, with USB ports readily available. The minibar included a complimentary drink, a standard offering at Grand Lisboa Hotels, with no extra charge. The room layout was well-designed and practical; the luggage area had two stands, ideal for couples or families. We requested a smoking room, and it did have a smoke smell, but when we called room service, they immediately brought a high-powered air purifier. Keeping it on significantly alleviated most of the odor. The sky garden on the third floor was very picturesque. It was a shame we missed the afternoon 'Alice in Wonderland' themed performance and interactive session. Breakfast was crowded, and the Chinese options were decent, but the Western desserts and various teas were superb. Getting to the 'three people' area (referring to the main tourist area perhaps) was a bit far on foot, requiring a taxi. However, Wynn Palace was only a 10-minute walk away. Compared to that main area, this hotel has the New Yaohan department store and a large supermarket nearby. Stocking up on food, drinks, and daily necessities here was incomparably cheaper than in the main tourist spots, which is incredibly convenient for families with children and couples on a budget. Next to the supermarket, the Grand Lisboa Palace Food Court offers 'Wing Kee Beef Offal' and a delicious, generously portioned pork chop bun shop, along with Cantonese BBQ and Southeast Asian cuisine. It felt a bit cheaper than the Venetian Food Court, and it was spacious, less crowded, and peaceful. We booked one night because the room rate was cheap, and overall, it offered great value for money. It's perfect for combining with another hotel in Macau to enrich your travel experience and ease your wallet. Highly recommended! Almost forgot to mention, there's a local culture and history exhibition on the third floor called 'Lisboa: A Story of Macau,' which is definitely worth a visit! For most people, it's more worthwhile than the Picasso exhibition. 😎"

"This time I chose to stay at the YOHO Golden Island Hotel in Macau, which offers great value for money 🏨. I stumbled upon it on Xiaohongshu and was instantly captivated by the room view. I booked the Pure Gold (Golden Island) Fireworks Seaview Room for around $7xx. The room was spacious and comfortable, with warm and elegant lighting, and a subtle, pleasant fragrance. Located in the heart of the Macau Peninsula, the hotel room offered panoramic views of the Macau Tower, Penha Hill Chapel 💒, and Nam Van Lake 🌃. Downstairs is the YOHO Golden Island Mall, with everything you need for dining, shopping, and entertainment – super convenient! 🤩 There are clothes, cosmetics, a cinema, supermarket, restaurants, and more. 🏨 Hotel lobby on the 2nd floor 🏋️ Gym room 24hrs (2/F) 🏊‍♀️ Three infinity pools where you can swim and enjoy beautiful views (2/F). One of them is a heated pool (so you can swim comfortably even in winter). 🌟🎶 You can even swim and listen to music underwater! 🏪 Convenience store 24hrs (2/F) 🍽️ Restaurants (2/F) After checking in and dropping off our luggage, my friend and I went downstairs to watch a movie. This cinema is Macau's first Bona International Cinema. My friend and I watched Zootopia 2 there – the environment and facilities were excellent 👍. They have VIP screening rooms with different themes, USB charging ports, and small lights. ☕️ After the movie, we went to the famous Blooom for a coffee. The outdoor red apple trees were adorned with Christmas ribbons and scarves, super cute! 🍣 Hokkaido Uoichi Rotating Sushi Fresh ingredients and a wide variety, also great value for money. 🎭 South Beauty Elegant and upscale dining environment with a variety of dishes, featuring Sichuan, Hunan, Shandong, and Cantonese cuisines. They also have Macau exclusive dishes! 🏨 YOHO Golden Island Hotel 🔍 No. 12, Lagoa Avenida, Nam Van District, Macau Peninsula 🚌 From Gongbei Port, you can take the hotel's free shuttle bus or Macau Public Bus 🚌 3/3X to ”Praca de Ferreira Amaral”."

"I took the Grand Lisboa Palace shuttle bus from Gongbei Port, but it doesn't go directly to The Parisian Macao. After arriving, you need to cross the zebra crossing and walk about 200 meters to reach the hotel. I chose The Parisian Macao because of the swimming pool, as I was attending the National Games this time. The Macao Asian Games Stadium is right opposite the hotel. Both the hotel front desk and the swimming pool staff reminded me that it's a constant temperature swimming pool. After discussing with several staff members, they all agreed it's suitable for people who regularly exercise. The Ice Room restaurant on the first floor offers convenient food at any time. I particularly enjoyed the duck and pork ribs for breakfast. There's also a super large supermarket on the ground floor. Most of the food street options are also on the first floor. I especially love the various flavors of ice cream, especially the chocolate one – my favorite! The supermarket is quiet and comfortable because it's incredibly spacious and bright. For my return journey, there's a free minibus to Gongbei. It takes you close to the port, and then you just cross the road straight ahead to see the flusso of people for both exit and entry. The Universiade was very thoughtful; going out at any time was not an issue! However, Macao's women's volleyball team still needs to put in a lot of effort to improve their competitive level. The two sanitation workers on the 10th floor, a gentleman and a lady, were both very cultivated and genuinely warm. Knowing I needed water after my morning swim, they made sure my room was well-stocked with plenty of mineral water. I feel very honored to have stayed in this warm and comfortable hotel. It felt like being at home – relaxing and at ease. The room even had Taiwan TV channels, which was a nice touch, especially their commentary on current events."

"Experience was unforgettable. Truly a 5 star hotel with an excellent service. I would want to visit Macau and book them again because they truly are world class. Jenny at the lobby - I can’t praise her enough. Like wow. She remembered me, like girrrl I am in the hospitality industry as well and I dont have that keen attention to details. So I arrived earlier right? Even before reaching to the counter, this girl, Jenny approached me. She asked, how can I call you? I said Maria. She said I can put my luggage at the concierge. I said okay, I will have my lunch at the 18th floor. When I came down the lobby again, I saw there were no seats available so I took the chance to withdraw some cash. I went back and looked for a toilet, Jenny saw me. She was like “Maria, may I ask for your full name?” And then, she was like Il escort you to the 17f so you can wait at the lounge. She remembered me. And upon check out, she greeted me, and remembered me. Like what?! I couldn’t believe it. Too bad I didnt get to take photos with her. She is so nice as well!"

"I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The lobby was absolutely beautiful, and the staff were very professional and welcoming. The room exceeded my expectations — spacious, clean, and elegantly designed. The hotel offers several restaurants, and we tried one of them during our stay. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. You truly experience the luxury you’re looking for here. Another great feature was the shuttle service to various locations, which made getting around so convenient. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!"

"We’ve been spending quite a few stays here in this hotel. The staff usually have us the same room, and it’s perfect for my daughter especially to feel like home. However, the staff at the check-in counter nearly processed our booking wrongly, saying that we had no breakfast included. We meant to book for the breakfast too each time for leisure mornings. Also, at the restaurant for breakfast, the staff made us to share a long table with others but we were neither in a guided tour with them or traveling in a big group of people. We asked for going to a small table aside but we’re refused. We ended up choosing sitting at one end of that long table, hoping that my daughter wouldn’t be bothered by strangers. We’ve actually explained to the staff about my daughter’s special needs. Anyway, the hotel room was still fine and with its convenient location, we would still come, but maybe without breakfast next time!"

"Even during off-peak season, there were still a lot of people. The airport shuttle is free and gets you to the hotel entrance in 10 minutes. The hotel is large and grand, connected to shopping and dining, so you could easily spend a whole day exploring. They offer a complimentary G Bear coffee every day. The Big Ben and Eiffel Tower replicas outside are quite photogenic, especially at night. We were assigned to the Bond building, which unfortunately had a smoky smell. The in-room amenities, Jo Malone, were decent, and the Duravit bathroom fixtures and bedding were quite comfortable. Breakfast is served on the first floor. Upon check-in, we received a 100-yuan voucher that could be used. Overall, the value for money is pretty good. Check-out is at 11 AM, not 12 PM, but the staff kindly gave us a souvenir."

Macau Hotels Guide: Where to Stay in Macau?

Macau is literally the “Vegas of China” with neon-lit mega-casinos along the Cotai Strip (think dancing fountains and Crazy Rich Asians vibes). But wander 10 minutes from the blackjack tables, and you’re in Senado Square, where wave-patterned cobblestones lead to pastel Portuguese buildings, street vendors grilling pork jerky, and the scent of freshly baked egg tarts. So come and visit Macau now!

GGuest User## Facilities: Quite Disappointing On the first day, the shower drain was blocked, causing water to overflow everywhere. It was quite late, so I ended up using a bathmat to soak it up myself. The next day, I specifically called the front desk, and they left a message when I returned saying it had been resolved. To my dismay, it was blocked again the second day, forcing me to rush out mid-shower to call them. Additionally, the room phone seemed to have a faulty connection; I kept trying to dial but couldn't get a call through. Even after requesting an air purifier, my throat still felt quite stuffy. ## Service: During check-in, I specifically requested not to be given a room at the end of the corridor. Well, they assigned me the very first room. Two staff members even came up to demonstrate how to operate the curtains... (a bit excessive!). However, the room service staff were actually very good; they were patient and responded promptly to all my requests. ## Location: The location is indeed quite out of the way. Taxis are scarce during peak hours, whereas it was much easier to hail a cab at The Londoner during the same times. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you're traveling with minors, as you'll have to walk a much longer route if you can't cut through the casino. I honestly don't know how people manage to explore all of Macau in a single day. For me, getting back from The Venetian felt incredibly far, and even getting to The Londoner was quite a trek. I was so exhausted I even considered taking a taxi just to get to Wynn. ## Cleanliness: The cleanliness was acceptable. I didn't experience any allergic reactions while sleeping, and overall, the room was quite clean. However, I suspect my throat discomfort was likely related to the carpet.

GGuest UserIt was such a pleasant stay at the Okura hotel. We were there to celebrate birthday for 2 family members. The hotel decorated the room and offered a yummy birthday cake and stuffed bears wearing kimono. The kids were so happy. They also accommodated our request to arrange a room close to elevator (literately next to it) to my father-in-law who has reduced mobility. Thomas was supper helpful and nice. There is no in-dining breakfast as the restaurant is under renovation. Would like to come back when it is re-opened.

AAnonymous UserVery convenient to take bus MT1 from airport to the hotel. As we rely on public transport most of the time, I found that it was an ease to move around Macau with my stay @this hotel as there are many buses go almost everywhere. We had 2 nights stay @Macao then hop over to Hong Kong by ferry. We took bus MT1 which stop at Taipa ferry terminal. Overall very satisfying stay n wish I could have stay longer in this hotel😂

AAnonymous UserThe room had a musty smell, luckily I only had to put up with it for one night. Based on other reviews, I was expecting L'Occitane scents. The room did have plenty of small L'Occitane toiletries. There's a shuttle bus, but upon check-in, it wasn't clearly stated that the bus would go from the hotel to MGM, then to the pier, and finally to the airport, taking 40 minutes to reach the airport. The diagram also wasn't accurate. In the end, I had to pay for a taxi to get to the airport. I didn't get to use the hotel's bus during my trip; instead, I ended up using another hotel's free shuttle.

GGuest UserThe hotel was clean, well-organized, and sufficient for our stay. It has a convenient location near the ferry terminal, though it’s not the best spot if you want to be close to major attractions — you’ll need to walk a bit. The beds were comfortable, the room was spacious, and the bathroom was clean and comfortable as well. The casino had a somewhat dated vibe, and we didn’t have time to check out the pool, but note that you’ll need to bring a hair cap if you plan to swim.

__CFT0404027****Pros: The location is excellent, right in the heart of the Macau Peninsula. It's a short walk to the old Wynn and both the old and new Grand Lisboa. The area downstairs is lively with tons of small shops to browse, and many pharmacies. It's also very close to the Fortuna Hotel. The in-room toiletries are L'Occitane. The 'wet market' on the hotel's third floor is also interesting; although it's old, it still retains the charm and vibrancy of a grand hotel. The lobby is impressive, and they offer various complimentary drinks. I personally found the milk tea quite good, and they have several hot drink options, which are more considerate for women than the iced milk tea at MGM. And despite what some say about the Landmark Hotel being 'doomed,' I found it to be a fun spot with a less intimidating atmosphere than some of the larger casinos. Cons: 1. The soundproofing in the room is indeed poor. Even as a deep sleeper, I was woken up by doors closing upstairs and could clearly hear mobile phone conversations from outside. 2. There was no charging adapter, which made charging inconvenient. The adapter in the bathroom outlet also didn't work for my hair styling tools. 3. The surrounding area felt a bit chaotic at night, and I didn't feel entirely safe going out, though that might just be a perception. 4. It felt very dated; metal fixtures and hangers in the room were significantly discolored. 5. You have to take an elevator from the first floor to the sixth floor to transfer to another elevator to get to the room, which is a bit circuitous, but thankfully the hallway isn't too long.

JJiaowosaicheshouFirst time in Macau, I booked this hotel blindly online and it turned out to be excellent in terms of location and experience. Firstly, there's an elevator. The room isn't big, but it's well-equipped and, believe it or not, they even provide universal power outlets. Secondly, there are plenty of dining options nearby, which is very convenient. Just a few steps away is a great supermarket, 'San Fung Croche Supermarket'. Plus, there's a bus stop right downstairs that connects well to the Taipa line for the airport. Overall, I'm very satisfied and highly recommend it to everyone.

GGuest UserWe booked a triple room for convenience, but it turned out to be exceptionally small. The window offered a view of tightly packed residential buildings, reminiscent of the old Kowloon Walled City, making it impossible to open the curtains. Despite being a triple room, only two tooth mugs were provided. When we asked the front desk, they directed us to housekeeping, who explained that while three sets of toiletries were given, their policy stipulated only two tooth mugs per room. Then, in the middle of the night, the air conditioning broke. A technician worked on it for nearly an hour, but by 1 AM, it still wasn't fixed, and we were simply given a fan. At checkout, there was no apology or explanation whatsoever regarding the AC problem. To add insult to injury, upon checking out, we realized one room key card was missing, and they immediately charged us 50 RMB, citing their policy. It really feels like these rules are only for guests!

MMargie The room is clean. But their service sucks. Right after we checked out, i called them to say i left my chromecast cable at the back of the tv. They said they ll call me back. But no one call me back. I called again 3 times. But keep saying theyll ask the housekeeping. Atlast i came there again personally and manager just dont care i think to look for it. They ask me to come back just to say they didnt find, i dont its lost. I just think they didnt look for it properly at the back of the tv. Its very small. No one can find it if not intentional.

MM819371****The hygiene was excellent, and the environment was decent. However, the front desk service was very mediocre. Once you've booked a room, you're expected to follow their rules with no flexibility whatsoever; in other words, they're quite rigid. The hotel's location is superb, right on Beijing Street, making it incredibly convenient for dining, shopping, and entertainment. The hotel facilities are pretty standard.
