Matsumoto Hotel Kagetsu

Matsumoto|0.89km from Yasuka Museum of Art
When I booked the hotel, the reviews made me think that it would be good but not amazing. However I was really disappointed. Although not terrible, this hotel was below my standard. Within a short walk to the amazing Matsumoto Castle, the hotel seemed like a nice historic place to stay and enjoy. The hotel itself is rather plain and uninteresting. The room was big but not cozy or really comfortable. The elevator smelled like gasoline as did the basement floor where the women's bath is located. The public baths are small and uninteresting as well. We did not eat dinner here. The breakfast buffet was good. Now, on to the service. Although not rude, the service was cold and overly rule oriented. Although I realize the check-in time is 15:00, most places will not hold on to this dogmatically and to the minute. In other words, if the room is available then let your guests settle in. On this day it was raining, constant and hard, so most guests were cold and wet when they arrived as we were. At 14:10 when I asked if our room was ready the lady at the front dest pretended to check her watch and just no, please wait until 15:00. She didn't check if rooms were ready, but rather preferred the strict rule and have guests, many with children, sit around cold and wet in the lobby. Rules are more important than your customers. I don't agree with that. It is below my standard. On to breakfast, schedule to start at 6:30. We arrive at 6:28 and the lady (different lady) rather aggressively told us to go sit in the lobby rather that stand and wait for 2 minutes. That 2 minutes before 6:30 seemed very offensive for her. So when it came to parking no person came out to greet us or help us. Not normal or good. However I parked in front and headed in, then I was approached and told that I should not park there. Not sure why, but I asked where and was told that there is a parking lot around the corner. So I headed out to the car and started to move when I was approached and told that the parking lot was full. So I asked where I should park and was told that sorry the parking lot was full. So can I stay here? No. Where? the parking lot is full. So where do I park? The parking lot is now full, maybe some people will leave. I got fed up and just walked back into the hotel. A man then said that if I give him my key he will move my car when more spaces open up. Thank you. The next morning, my car was still there, had not been moved, and other cars were parked around me. That was not good reception. Below my standards. Dogmatic adherence to rules is more important than guests. Politeness does not hide that. Below my standards. Disappointed I cannot recommend this hotel.

Hotel New Station
3.9/518 Reviews
It is a convenient location hotel to go out by train or bus from Matsumoto station. The decisive thing was that there was a bath on the 7th floor of the top floor, the reasonable price of the accommodation, and there was a further discount if you stayed overnight. I didn't get lost much, and I liked the bath and decided. There were three washing machines on the fourth floor, 200 yen for washing machines, 100 yen for drying machines, and the bath on the top floor was larger than the cherry blossoms thought, and the washroom was beautiful. The bath also had cosmetic water, emulsion, cleaning liquid, and body soap, shampoo and conditioner were also famous manufacturers. From the room, it is ok with yukata and slippers, so I entered twice a day like a hot spring inn. You can take a bath at 1 a.m. at night and 6 a.m. in the morning. The unit bus in the room was never used. Daily cleaning is a magnet card on the door, and even if you want to do not need cleaning, you will put a new yukata, bath towel, towel and amenities in a bag and hung them on the door knob. The good thing with the room facilities is the bright reading lights and 2 door frozen refrigerator, chairs like used in the office. The window was not open, but those who want to ventilate can open it if they borrow the key to the window. Outside the window, I could only see the office of the next building, but I almost went out, so I didn't care. I stayed for 3 nights, but the front desk was polite. There is a Japanese restaurant on the 1 floor, and breakfast can be eaten there. 1 thousand yen once. At dinner, there were couples in yukata, business guests, etc. The station is close, but the sound of the train is hardly heard, and it is quiet at night. The meal was also fun to eat because there were restaurants, taverns, dining rooms, etc. of color 々 genres nearby. Convenience stores are several stores and supermarkets are large underground of bus terminals. It is a hotel that I want to use when I go to Matsumoto again.

Very convenient location, close to Matsumoto station and bus terminal. The hotel size is not big, the breakfast venue is also compact and I thought it was just good for this time. The corona countermeasure was also tight, and the response of the front desk 々 was very pleasant. Wi-Fi was also connected, and the dryer was also ready separately from the equipment. The cleaning is clean and you can spend comfortably overall. However, there was no outlet on the pillow Only the fact that the TV remote control did not respond well was a little troublesome (it seems that there is an extension code loan).

Less than 5 minutes walk from JR station, my moderate twin room is very spacious and comes with a work desk. Beddings are very comfortable and plenty of amenities are provided. They even have complimentary supper service at night. We didn't get to try the breakfast but they look great with a lot of varieties. This is a great place to stay in Matsumoto.
Ryokan Seifuso

We stayed two nights in this Ryokan during our holiday in Japan. Matsumoto is a cosy and relaxed place, without the tourist crowds we experienced in other cities, staying in different hotels, who were all good, this Ryokan gave us a memorable experience. Everything was very well organized, the pick up from the station, the free bikes, the cleanliness of the place. The warm welcome from the hosts, the excellent way in which they took care of us during our stay. Making sure we could enkoy andrelax completely. Yesterday when we returned from our bicycle trip, during which we had a heavy rainshower and were completely soaked. The owner rushed out with umbrellas and his wife waited with towels and put newspapers in our wet shoes. This really felt as coming home! We tried both the Japanese and Western breakfast, they were both excellent. If you are staying in Matsumoto this the place we strongly recommend!
Hotel Matsumoto Yorozuya

This is located about 5 minutes walk from Matsumoto Station Ojoguchi, and there is a convenience store, but it is in a quiet location. I think the basic structure of the hotel is old, but it is usually clean. To the front desk for check-in‥‥the front desk felt style, classic flowing and was usually a good response. The room uses a card key to enter. The bathroom toilet in the room is a bit spacious, but there is also a washlet, usually clean and amenities and attached facilities in the room are normal. (The slippers were made of cloth. There was also a refrigerator, dryer and electric kettle (no security box)) The bed was a wide single bed and the height of the pillow was just right. The network had wi-hi and sometimes felt a little slow. The meal was handmade and boream and delicious. It was a quiet, comfortable, convenient and cost-effective hotel.

The entrance is difficult to understand and is very unkind, but it is convenient near the station. Very clean and free lounge is very good. There is a service such as cold water. However, there was only an inn, and the people were very low, such as online drinking meetings in shared spaces, work meetings, and snoring in capsules.
