Stayed 7 nights with my partner at this wonderful hotel, which is centrally located (10 minute walk to the main Zocalo square with lots of shopping nearby) and has a very good bar/restaurant on-site. The rooms are new with firm beds, thick towels and linens, a hot shower, daily maid service, a medium-sized safe that can hold a tablet, good climate control, and a Nespresso coffee machine. A filtered water dispenser to refill water bottles is quite the advantage in the lobby. The gym on the 2nd floor is modern with very usable equipment, and is located next to an outdoor terrace. The breakfast buffet was very good with several choices. Antonio and Nayla provided excellent customer service during breakfast, and Antonio also alerted me to breakfast options that were healthier for my sensitive stomach. The lobby staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, I rate this hotel an 8 or 9 out of 10 and would definitely stay here again. That being said, I would like to offer some suggestions to Novotel to make the hotel room a bit better for travelers. This new, minimal hotel room concept means that there are no dresser drawers for storing clothing, and there’s only one spot in the hanging metal “closet” for storing one suitcase - the other person must put their suitcase on the floor . One must live out of their suitcase during the entire stay, which is very annoying. This can easily be remedied by having more hangers (10 instead of 5?) in the closet, and having one or two folding luggage racks available. Also, another side table is needed beside the bed, since there’s only one. The person sleeping on the left side of the bed must put their water, glasses, phone, etc. on the floor, since there’s no side table, or place their items far away on the desk. Also, the thick towels keep falling off the three very lame wooden towel “knobs”. These knobs need to be replaced or extended outward in order to be able to hold a load. I would hang up my wet towel and it would immediately fall onto the floor. We fought with this the entire week. The hotel would save a lot of money by not having to wash towels every day that have fallen onto the floor. Additionally, perhaps for an upcharge, a small refrigerator could be placed in the room. These minor issues did not affect our overall satisfaction of this hotel.

We started our road trip with this hotel for 3 nights and we are not disappointed. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. The only bemol is that for those who like me are of hot chocolate, they don't use it ^^ and they don't have any confectionery, but butter is to be asked. The rooms were very clean, well equipped (TV, dish, toilet, shower, toilet...) 400 yuan a night! Although it is not expensive in the local area, it is a bit worse than the domestic one. The domestic 400 yuan is more luxurious than this! Orders are placed on the same journey and Trip , the same journey can be couponed, which is cheaper! I have to complain about Trip here, it is very bad! Poor service, poor problem solving! Ticket 9000, 7 hours later, need 5800, I want to refund the ticket and re-down, that is, do not let me refund, let the difference refund seven or eight, 3200 difference refund 2000, do not buy the ticket on Trip , slaughter people!

Love it - the hotel is close to the metro a few stops away from the central square. Rooms are clean, spacious and well appointed. Even so it is next to big road the sound proofing is good and you can sleep well. Room service is great too. No doubt I pick it again, if I come to CDMX.

Excelente servicio por parte de todo el Staff del hotel, la recepcionista muy atenta y en todo momento dando los detalles sobre nuestro alojamiento, el desayuno incluido muy rico y sobre todo el trato del Sr. Armando que fue excelente en todo momento, muy amable, atento y servicial, gracias a personas cómo él, hacen la estancia muy amena, recomiendo muchísimo Hotel City Express La Villa!

A great place to stay****, the room was very spacious, everything was clean, the staff was very friendly and efficient. The view from the terrace is very beautiful.
