Somewhere to sleep, which for the price is fine (given how expensive everything in Munich is during the beer fest). But the party and the people, omg. Couldn't replicate that in a million years. Met a crew that I ended up travelling on with, had some romances, and have kept in touch with a bunch of people. The open bar, dancefloor and drinking games make this place. Unreal. Cannot recommend enough, if you're outgoing and travel to meet new people

We visited Munich in June for the opening match in the Euros football tournament and had a really enjoyable stay at the campsite. The facilities were clean, there was a bar/restaurant serving simple meals (with other restaurants and a beer garden nearby) and we were able to get into the city easily by bike and/or public transport.

Overall I think the campsite is what we expected and glad we tried to relive our youth thus meeting so many people from different countries and even friends for life! Tents fit 2 people without luggage. (Didn’t get searched so had plenty vodka for when the unlimited beer ran out) just grabbed pepsi before the beer bar shut. Couple left for a hotel the night we arrived so we kept our massive suitcase in their tent. There’s no locks on the tents but there are lockers and charging stations. We kept our passports and everything on is the first day we went into city centre but soon realised the kind of people we were camping with so didn’t mind leaving stuff in the tent. You pay extra for towels, pillows and cups for unlimited drink which we didn’t mind however you have to reuse the same (small) towel for the 5days you’re there. The ‘campsite party’ was a let down and the DJs they had weren’t upto much. Also once the late bar closed (3am) you couldn’t talk or play music in the campsite or you were being hunted by ‘security’! We got sent from our tent to the kitchen ‘if we want to talk’ then they came rocking up to the kitchen in a golf cart to hunt us again. My advice would be to stay at the Oktoberfest event then find a decent club in Munich. You need a bus and 2 trains to Oktoberfest Munich which was fine, we had our wee campsite family! Getting home was difficult if our fam drifted as you’re drunk and a couple nights we gave in and got an Uber which was about €30. This is possibly because we were at the other side of Munich. Caught the right train just going the opposite direction! There was a free hot shower block next to our tents which were pretty minging but cleaner ones near the kitchen which cost €1 for 5 mins of hot water. I was lucky and got a decent 5mins but I heard another girl only got 2 mins. We had plenty fun and happy we camped. I think knowing we had a hotel booked for the final night we were in Munich made it easier and more enjoyable. Sleeping wasn’t a problem either as we were full of steins! Loved it

The reviews are false. They advertise on site that if you give them a 5 star review you get seconds of free breakfast. The two person tent is a one person tent. An average size person could not lay straight out. They provide you with a thin mat, no pillow, and a sleeping bag. You may as well be sleeping on the ground. The tent does not lock. Many drunk people accidentally going into the wrong tents at night. It was advertised that there were lockers. When we arrived on site we were told there wasn’t any. You cannot fit your belongings in the tent with you- so you are basically left with no choice but to leave your belongings outside your tent. When watching them “clean” tents after people had moved out- they do not clean the sleeping bags, they just spray air spray and move on. It was advertised as 10 euro for all you can drink, but when you show up it is 15 euro. They make you pay 3 euro for your cup for drinks and we were told at the beginning you could return your cup to get your money. When attempting to do that they said they no longer do that. Our 3 euro was “a donation”. It was also advertised that they had charging stations. The charging station where you could lock your phone, leave charging and come back was out of service. If you wanted to charge your phone you had to sit beside it at the outlet to ensure your phone wasn’t taken. The bathrooms were not clean and often a line to shower, use the toilet, or a sink. Lots of fights, *****, sex, and vomit. We couldn’t wait to leave.

Leaky urinals, smelly toilet, heated showers, simple bakery, just wait 10 minutes for the nice girl to prepare the bakeoff bread. Electricity included. Very convenient at the bus stop to downtown Munich, which was the reason for our visit.

Mooi gelegen in bosrijke omgeving.
