Before coming to Yunshuiyao, I had already chosen the designer hotel 1949, which is located next to the big waterwheel and the 670-year-old banyan tree. Since I didn't book a hotel in advance during my self-driving trip to Yunshuiyao during the Spring Festival four years ago, and I couldn't stay in Yunshuiyao, I chose it this time. The loft room is really cozy, with a distinction between movement and quietness, and the view is also layered, especially the old peach tree in the yard, which was full of peach blossoms when we checked in, full of spring. The room facilities are complete and new, and the store service is super warm and thoughtful. They are responsive to every request, and the afternoon tea and fruit will also remind you of the usage time. There is a small children's playground in the backyard, which is very suitable for families with children. Climbing up to the rooftop terrace of 1949, the old banyan tree with lush branches and leaves comes into view, the Changjiao River is gurgling, and the mountains are surrounded, as if you are in a paradise. When checking out, the store specially sent souvenirs, making guests feel at home!

Perfect location right at the foot of the stair case up to the viewpoint of Tianluokeng Tulou cluster so you and walk up to view the 4 dishes and 1 soup before the tourists come. It also sits next to the tulou, easy stroll in the morning. The owner can arrange taxi to pick up and drop off from nearby station (I arrived at Nanjing station), and same driver drive me for the whole day next day to visit all the main attractions. Food is ok, cooked by the owner, a bit over price dinner menu, but vegetable is home grown, fresh. Owner speak little language, need to use a lot of google translate. Room is basic, toilet is ok, good hot water running strongly. Overall I had a pleasant stay.

It's not an easy place to reach if, like us, you are a family of 6 with a baby and a lorry load of luggage. We arrived by high speed train at Nanjing (Fujian) and found a taxi to take us to the hotel (one way ¥260, negotiated from ¥300). The journey was around 2 hours on winding and slow roads (on the way back we took the high speed motorway which reduced the journey time to around an hour). The hotel is in a rural location off the main tourist areas. We arrived later than expected but we were able to get dinner. The food is exceptional. The chicken in particular is delicious. We booked a family room with a slide. Our children would of happily spent the entire stay in the room playing on the slide. I've stayed in many 5 star branded hotels and yet this guesthouse has so many little extras, gadgets and technology than most. The password keypad door handle is perhaps the most over complicated means of opening a door, but I applaud the dedication to style and design. The toilet has a Japanese style multifunction thing going on. It took me a long time to figure out how to flush it. The toilet seat lifts when you open the door! The TV is a large projection on the wall. Not being Chinese I struggled to figure how to get regular TV channels. Everything I found required pay to view. It was a nice and clear projection however, and if able to understand the programming it would be amazing. We enjoyed 2 days touring various Tulou's. There are many within a short drive, though behind the hotel there is a small village with Tulou and earth buildings that make for a lovely walk. Overall, a great guesthouse with trendy vibes and family friendly facilities. Very comfortable stay.

This B&B hotel is really great. The rooms are more comfortable than expected. There are deluxe package, family version and standard rooms, which can meet all kinds of needs. The interior of the house is exactly the same as the photo. You can also see the view of the creek from the courtyard. The landlord's service is very warm. The location of the hotel is quite good, very close to the river bank and the waterwheel. The hotel is located in the middle of the scenic area. There are a few old banyan trees outside. The oldest seems to be 670 years old. Opposite the waterwheel is the owner’s homestay. It's about one kilometer from your building, walk around and take pictures, and you will be there. The hotel is about 700 meters to the left and you are at Huaiyuan Building. The owner is very enthusiastic. The breakfast is different from the buffet breakfast in the hotel. They have self-milled soy milk, and the side dishes (pickles) that accompany the meal are delicious. There are hard-boiled eggs, steamed buns, fritters corn, and rice porridge. It's really good, enough. The rooms are not big but clean. Many homestays have only two floors. This homestay has a good location and is really worth living in. If you like to take pictures, I suggest you come out in the morning, and people want to take pictures. If you have the opportunity to come again, I will try this one, and I will recommend it to my friends.

The place is very clean, location is perfect, people are very nice. The next 2 scenic areas are quite near. I cold stay here for a couple of days. I can point only one thing for improvement - since you let to book on international site, please, at least menu in English!
