Golden Eagle Summit Hotel

This hotel offers great value for money, especially compared to the Atour hotel nearby, which costs about the same for two nights. We stayed in an open-plan suite in the city center for two nights for only 999. While breakfast was just okay, the room itself was very well maintained.

The hotel's location is excellent, with a shopping mall and subway station right downstairs. It's just one subway stop to Xinjiekou. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Although the rooms show their age, they are spacious.

This hotel truly embodies the feeling of 'home away from home.' From the moment we walked in, we felt incredibly well-cared for. The greeter at the door immediately offered to help with our luggage, and the lobby manager confirmed our itinerary. Check-in was incredibly fast, and check-out was just as simple – fantastic! The breakfast was already amazing, but the dinner was even more spectacular! Definitely worth repeat visits!

The room was spacious, cozy, and comfortable, with no unpleasant odors. 👍

This is only the second time I've given a hotel a bad review since using Ctrip. The reason I ended up in this dump of a hotel was my carelessness; I meant to book the Golden Eagle G Hotel, but I clicked the wrong one during my search and booked this instead. For a hotel that cost over 700, the service and politeness were severely lacking. They actually hung up on me before I finished speaking, and the minibar was completely empty. As for cleanliness, it was clearly not done. There was someone else's ***** hair in the bathtub. Compared to other ***** hairs, this one was free; it had escaped its original owner's body, broken free from its dark, confined dwelling, and was happily stretching out in the tub, basking in the sunlight and breathing fresh air. Unfortunately, it was born with original sin – it wasn't a head hair, it wasn't a body hair, it was specifically a ***** hair. It lay quietly in the bathtub, greeting me and telling its story of having evaded the cleaning staff. I should feel happy for it, but I don't. I just feel utter rage. I didn't want to see it, even though in this world, besides its owner and their lover, I'm probably the only third person to have seen this ***** hair. I don't feel honored. I don't know what the cleaning staff are paid for. The bathtub, which needs cleaning the most, wasn't cleaned, which makes me seriously doubt the cleanliness of other areas. How can a hotel like this still have a star rating and use the Golden Eagle name? It's a disgrace! I'm angry!

The hotel was exceptionally clean, tidy, and quiet. The staff were also very welcoming and enthusiastic. The transportation downstairs is incredibly convenient, and there are many local delicacies and snacks to enjoy. Highly recommended.

We booked a panoramic suite and the view was absolutely amazing. The room was huge, with a central TV wall featuring two screens, which was a really cool design. The open-plan layout connecting the office area, lounge, and bedroom made the already spacious 80+ square meter room feel even more expansive. The standard bathtub was also a nice touch. The only downside was that some of the facilities felt a bit dated. For example, the toilet wasn't a smart one. Breakfast was pretty good too, and I was pleasantly surprised to find braised duck vermicelli soup on offer. The only slight hiccup was when I asked for more duck intestines and the staff member told me there wouldn't be enough for others. It's a small issue, but one that shouldn't really happen. Overall, it was a great experience for both my family and me during our two-night stay.

This hotel has its pros and cons. The main advantage is its proximity to the subway station, which makes getting around very convenient. However, the downsides are significant: the interior decor is outdated and old-fashioned, and the in-room amenities are lacking. For instance, I had to go into the bathroom just to find a tissue box, which felt very basic and certainly not up to star-rated hotel standards.
