The worst hotel ever, the room was dusty and smelly. The mattress was totally rubbish. I guessed it’s been using for ages.

Just needed to put my head down for the night. Reception was friendly..I arrived late at 2340..friendly night guy..room was adequate for my needs..Room 9 cold tap handle was missing, but a shsve was possible and teeth with warm water..mattress protector needs a boil wash and new carpet would freshen things. Shower was luke warm but manageable..heating was fine..tv ok..1 night fine;)

We stayed for two nights to attend a concert. The room was reasonably clean and had everything for a short stay- kettle, tea and coffee etc, tv, dressing table with chair, wardrobe, bedside drawers, telephone, free Wi-Fi, plenty of plug sockets inc two usb sockets. Hand wash in bathroom had run out but we had shower gel provided. The mirrors could have been cleaner, and there were some stains on the walls. However, the bed was comfortable and clean, and the room was airy and surprisingly quiet. Free parking. Friendly and helpful manager and staff- happy to call a local taxi for you if required. Ideal location with a well served bus stop outside to take you into the city (£2 contactless payment). Lidl store opposite, alongside a great chippy, and a good family pub. No breakfast provided but hot food from outside allowed to be taken to rooms. For those with realistic expectations looking for a cheap overnight stay (we paid £49 a night) this is a good choice. Would definitely stay again, many thanks!

Basic hotel, stayed with my teenage son. Room just about fitted 2 single beds, with toilet and shower, small tv. Surprisingly quite at night time considering a lot of the other residents were on hens and stags. Carpet behind the beds could do with a Hoover but overall it is a place to drop the bags and sleep. Lots of good amenities in the area, Lidl, Co-op, good chipper, a few pubs, excellent Indian just up the road. Staff were very nice, would definitely stay again, but bear in mind if you are looking for a place to pass through and have a good nights Kip this is your venue, if you want something where you are going to hang out in the room then the Best Western or Mercury down the street are more for you

Absolutely filthy place. A homeless persons sleeping bag would be more sanitary. I wouldn't stay if it was free! Upon walking in to check in, we had to wait as only the manager could check people in (very bizarre). So, whilst waiting, we looked around, as you do when bored, peered into what looked like a communal room/waiting area, TV on the wall with no cables attached, just dangling. Mould and water soaked walls either side. Back to the Reception. Floor was insanely sticky, imagine spilling a litre of juice, letting it dry and think yeah it's fine, then walk on it. Bookshelf/leaflet stall, EXTREMELY THICK layer of dust, my finger tip was black after wiping an inch along the top. Continued waiting around for the manager (outside, so much cleaner). He eventually arrived in a swanky Mercedes, told him my thoughts and that we'd be booking elsewhere, didn't even seem bothered, told him about what I'd seen and if we could have a refund at all, his response was simply "No refunds".. he knows his place is way below human standards hence the 'policy'. If i knew how to report him to a higher authority I would but, I don't so a scathing review will have to do. People please, avoid this place, it is not safe!!

NO NO NO. We paid £69 for a double en-suite room and ARE ON PUR WAY HOME RATHER THAN STAY IN THIS DUMP. Only booked and was pleased to pay £69 as needed a bed for the night after a visit to the arena for an event. Gaffer tape holding the carpet down in the corridors. Room 6 had blinds with gaps and no curtains, facing the main road. Disgusting dirty stained walls. The wardrobe door is hanging off! The bed base, on the floor, is disgusting. No lamp, just one main harsh ceiling light. So instead of even staying, we’ve decided to drive the two hours back home instead. Handed key back into guy ok front desk and told him we would not be staying as the room is a disgrace and he just looked at me open mouthed, so I walked away. Please - just - no.

The place was terrible, we couldn't stay there and had to find other accommodation. The room was dark with no window. The sheets on the bed showed stains which looked like it had been mould and a pillow was also stained. We couldn't be sure that the linen had been changed. In the shower was a towel that was torn with holes in it. The furniture was dusty. There is noway it should be graded as 3 star. When we told the receptionist our concerns and that we were leaving all she could say was "Oh dear, I'm so sorry". Obviously not bothered to do anything about it.

The towels were tiny. Room was filthy with no working blinds on the windows. Radiator was broken as there was another broken electric heater placed in the room. Sink was placed directly next to bed and not in bathroom. Lights were broken and carpet was horrendous with stains from top the bottom. Walls had scuffs and dirt marks all over. Room was freezing cold and could hear everything outside (literally sounded like the window was open) Charging £60 a night but not doing one bit of renovation to your hotel to accommodate your guests . This hotel was so disgusting we left after half hour- after checking out and being asked why and if it was the room to which we replied with an obvious yes… no further replacement room was offered or any money back.

From the outside the hotel does not look great a d there are some pretty bad reviews. Having said that the place is a bit tired, needs some work Having said thst my room was OK. At the back so no traffic noise. The shower was rubbish, I think they if you want a shower this is not the place for you. SO WOULD I STAY THERE AGAIN ??? Yes for a night or two, it is cheap. You get what you pay for
