Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra

Chamkar Morn Phnom Penh|2.22km from Lyla Sports Center
This was the best hotel we have ever stayed at! From the BMW airport transfer with our driver Vanny, to being greeted at the door by name, all parts of the experience were amazing and exceeded our expectations. The breakfast buffet was exceptional in range and quality, offering the perfect mix of local, Asian, and western delicacies. We enjoyed two massages in the spa and the staff demonstrated great care and expert techniques, which left us feeling equal parts relaxed and revived. The swimming pool was oversized and a perfect temperature to lounge away a few hours, with poolside food and drink service at the press of a button. The luxury and comfort of Club Millésime was matched by the attentive and first-class service of Nikkole and his team. We enjoyed afternoon tea, nightly cocktails and tapas, and the staff assisted us with our every need. We enjoyed dinner at the Italian Restaurant - De Forni - where again we experienced service and hospitality that would rival the world’s best. Our room was well appointed with a large lounge area and bathroom. The balcony offered sweeping views of Phnom Penh and the daily housekeeping and turndown service made us never want to leave. And finally, the most memorable part of our stay was the staff, including Moni, for whom no request could not be met. This was the best hotel we have stayed in and as Accor Diamond members we have experienced some of the best globally. Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra is the best home away from home that you could want. Our only regret was that two nights just simply wasn’t long enough, so I guess we’ll be back again soon. Thank you very much. Matthew and Jemima.

La. Chronique Hotel

Chamkar Morn Phnom Penh|1.31km from Lyla Sports Center
Everything was exceptional during my 10-day stay at La Chronique. Location is great, but I want focus on the facilities and staff. The hotel is small and very charming with the feel of early 20th century French colonial design and decor. The quiet rooms and the second-floor lobby all lend to one feeling like they've stepped back in time. Staff could not have been more helpful--super attentive to every need. Towels, linens, pillows all great, and the mattress was very comfortable! Two important tips: 1. The hotel is not wheelchair accessible. The lobby is a walk-up from the street, and once inside you find an elevator to access the three floors above with rooms. So one has to walk those steps each day coming and going. Second, I stayed on the first floor in a room with a balcony, which sounds great until you realize it faces an unattractive building across an alley, is not large (about 10 feet wide and extending out only 2 feet...just enough for a small table and two chairs). Most if not all of the rooms are on the small side, and my queen-size bed had only about 6 inches on either side--not enough to really access that way, I always had to climb in from the foot of the bed. A friend had the adjacent room with a king-sized bed and ample room on both sides--the only difference being that room didn't have a balcony. All the balconies take away from room size, quant as they are, and probably only the third floor was high enough to see out any distance. I never used my balcony due to its small size, limited view, and the fact that that side faces the south so it's hot out there most days. On the plus side, the rooms have full windows across that whole outside wall. PS, the shower is outstanding, as other reviews have mentioned, and there are a couple of great meeting rooms for business or small gatherings.

The location of the hotel is very good, quiet and fully enclosed. The gate is very inconspicuous and hidden. There are doorbells and cameras on the fence. If you ring the doorbell, the clerk will come out to open the door. There is a swimming pool in the middle of the yard, which is very cool. The owner of the hotel is Japanese. He likes to chat with guests and is very enthusiastic. The facilities in the hotel are simple and comfortable. Breakfast is especially good.

House Boutique Eco Hotel

The hotel is in a quiet side street in the center of one of the 'nicest' areas of Phnom Penh, called BKK1. It is a pleasant boutique hotel with rooms on the ground floor around the pool, the first floor and the second floor. 8 rooms have balconies. Sun rises and hit my room (309) around 6am with 7am being the brightest. The rooms are clean, well kept and have a bright and fresh feel. The staff are excellent - take your time speaking as English can be tricky to understand - even for the English sometimes! The staff will assist you in any way they can. The food is excellent. The pool is in the central courtyard with a huge tree in the middle. It is not a lap pool and it is a great way to chill and relax keeping cool with loungers and parasols around the pool. I have moved into an apartment in Phnom Penh but would go and stay there any time and would advise anyone I now coming over to stay there.
Queen Mansion Apartment & Hotel

Location is superb. Good restaurants with quite a lot of varieties of foods nearby like 2mins walk. Highly recommend Pleng Chan for breakfast. Love their pickels. Also Greek restaurant nearby was great. Queen mansion itself is a clean and safe hotel with hot water (considering some hotels in cambodia has only cold-warm water) but lacking some amenities and some issues were bit disappointing. No slippers, only two towels, dirty bath rug, ants in bathroom, one dead cockroach under a bedside drawer. When I stayed in bigger room, there were ants on the bed too. I had to spend almost 2 hrs in the middle of the night to kill 30 red ants on the mattress and pillow and blanket. I found out theres an ant house behind the bed. But I didnt see ants in smaller room. So don't get the room with kitchen. Its full of ants and the gas stove for cooking doesnt work.

Super friendly staff, and the meal test fantastic. Nice decorated and well maintained, the green environment around make me felt natural with the sound of waterfall in the pool. I have no doubt to suggest this place to my other friends.
