I usually don't write comments like this but I have to. Customer service was horrible, actually the lady that works the night shifts that has black glasses (lost the paper with her name, our check in was on April 25th in the evening). There was a sign that said to dial a number to let them know we were waiting in the front desk. So we did just as the sign said, she came in complaining that she was the only one working night shifts, so in other words to take it easy. We didn't even say a word when she came in or complained we were waiting. During the check in process I forgot to mention that my husband is military so we could get a discount. She started saying that I waited to last minute to ask about the discount in a very sarcastic tone and kept repeating it was last minute. Mind you this was our first time in the state for my graduation. I know this is not a 5 star hotel or expect a red carpet but being kind doesn't hurt no one. The next day my husband asked for towels and again the same lady was giving him a hard time. We used to work in customer service so we know what good service looks like. I understand she could have been having a bad day but it almost ruined our time there. Apparently from what I was told this seems to be an ongoing issue and other customers haven't had a good customer service experience with her. I don't want to generalize and know people who have had a good experience staying at other locations at La Quinta. I highly recommend you go elsewhere or even pay a little more for a better experience. I hight suggest training employees on what good customer service looks like. Showing kindness and even a smile can go a long way!

This location is in the nicer side of Phoenix. It was very clean and comfortable. After hours, you must use your room key to even enter the lobby, so it felt really safe. The rooms are really spacious and cozy. The beds have a dial that you can choose how soft or firm you would like it, which I thought was super cool. The shower was also really nice! I normally dislike hotel showers because they never have good water pressure or get cold quick. We had our own balcony with a nice view of the beautiful pool. The pool was heated and has a nice waterfall and bonfire at night. There’s vending machines and food and drinks for order in the lobby. It’s also super close to a ton of restaurants and stores. Over all everything was really nice. I would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Phoenix!

I stayed in the hotel and I found my car could not be started. I asked the Front desk gentle*** for help, and he was really nice to help me to call the Roadside service. Meanwhile, he informed the duty ***ager to help me. The duty ***ager took my key and went to the car. and He helped me to start the car. I had the hand brake on , so the car could not auto start, so this time I was learning. and thanks for the hotel kind help

Location close to many downtown attractions. The staff were friendly and the facilities were clean and well maintained. The room was cozy and clean. The breakfast was more than adequate to accommodate an hungry morning appetite. The cinnamon rolls were on point. I’d recommend staying here anytime. Enjoyed my short one night stay.

Had booked our room on booking.com and received a confirmation number. Two women at the counter and it took both of them to take care of one customer. So I waited and when I gave them my name and confirmation number they said I wasn't in the system. I've heard this happening from other reviewers at other hotels. We ended up paying more for a smaller room. Although the room was satisfactory, it was run down and some might call it ”a dump”. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Bit of road noise but solid walls and halls quiet. Area seemed ”sketchy”. There were homeless men in the street and on sidewalk. We discovered a tent camp next to the parking lot. Not the best area but we felt safe. I just can't recommend this hotel and will never stay in a Red Roof Inn again. I'd say this was okay if you're looking for a budget hotel, but we didn't pay a budget price. Stay away!!
