I am extremely upset with this hotel. We booked this hotel based off the amenities available. However, the amenities are rarely open. The pool is only open from 10:00-17:00 which leaves no time to go enjoy excursions and still enjoy the amenities. The mini golf is €10 and is only open for 4.5 hours a day (10:30-13:00 and 15:00-17:00). We were hoping to go enjoy the beaches/hiking/etc during the day and come back and relax around the hotel and enjoy swimming and playing mini golf. But we are not going to be able to enjoy that at all. I would not recommend. I would recommend booking somewhere else where the amenities are more available. I'd also like to add that when we arrived they said their parking lot was full. So we had to park a bit aways and walk to the hotel. This was extremely inconvenient for us as the parking nearby is extremely limited. Also, the food was not good at all. The only good option was the gravy covered turkey. The bread was hard and stale, the fries had been sitting a while, the pizza was way too salty and cold, matter of fact almost all of the hot options were cold so I'm not sure they are on heating trays. We expected more quality and options since we paid €25 per person (€75 total) for just the one dinner. The breakfast was not great either unfortunately. The shower was also covered in limescale with black mold spots along the bottom lining where the door slides. There's also a ton of scuffs and marks all of the walls in the room. I've included some pictures of both below. Additionally, the bedding was dirty we found out after lifting up the pillows. We asked the front desk to have the bedding replaced. Which they did come to replace that night but told us we couldn't have it replaced anymore after that because they didn't have anymore sheets that would fit the bed. The new sheets also had something red crusted on it and when we took the sheets off ourselves we found a ton of stains on the mattress protector. The front desk do not care about any issues and will argue with you and say that they don't need to have the amenities open in the evening just like how the restaurant doesn't need to be open 24/7. When I tried rebutting with people eat at certain times but people do amenities at random times he said it doesn't matter. Ultimately, we were never able to use the amenities even when we made it back to the hotel by 6pm because everything is closed by that time.

I WILL NOT RETURN to this hotel or to the BLUESEA chain. Buy an all-inclusive and they do not specify in any terms and conditions on their page what is excluded, which is basically everything. The coffees are made by automatic machines since the traditional bar coffee makers tell you that they are paid and you cannot Have a carajito de Bayles because it is also paid and they do not have another alternative of cream liqueur or equivalent. All the very bad private label drinks, not to mention the cocktails that are all from the box. (Note that the waiters have earned heaven with what they have to put up with from customer complaints) The buffet food was painful in variety and quality, such as the cleaning of the glasses, which I had to pass them a napkin because they were disgusting. We stayed 10 days and the only fruit there was were bananas apples and oranges. Also say that the snack bar they put hamburgers and hot dogs without any control of the nurseries that people come to do. Very few hammocks for the people there were, since we spent several days without being able to take one. Honestly a lousy warm for a 4 star hotel. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. I have been in other ALL INCLUSIVE and it is nothing like this. I attach photos of the wonderful food at the buffet and the snack bar

On arrival dident like the view reception moved us the next day to a room with a pool view cost a little more but worth it. Hired kettle 20 euros refundable. gave us a mini fridge. Rooms lovely and clean. Staff all friendly. Always something to eat as we're all inclusive. Drinks are nice.Free shuttle down to the town. Would definitely return but would book a room with a pool view

Me and my partner stayed here this last week, we were nervous to come after reading all the reviews. However, the hotel is what you make of it. Staff: All the staff were friendly and welcoming you into the hotel explaining about your room. They could have explained about where things was and how to get towels etc. The entertainment staff was amazing they provided a great experience making sure everyone had a smile on their faces daily. Danny the head of the entertainment made us feel so welcomed and said hello every time we seen him in the hotel we loved it! Room: The room was spacious and clean, the maids came in everyday to make the bed and change all the bathroom facilities which was good. We felt very at home, there was an amazing view from our balcony which we sat out there sometimes. The beds are comfy , air conditioning, mini fridge (cold) hairdryer. Only 1 plug socket but manageable. There was no iron and we couldn’t get one safety but understandable. The TV worked and can change the language to English if needed, rock FM great station. Pool & hotel: Pool was lovely, jacuzzi was great to have (sometimes kids in there lifeguard should really control this) there was a lot of sun beds the pool area didn’t open until 9 but could get a bed. There is some tiles that need replacing as I cut my toe open. There were chickens around the pool but we loved seeing them it gave us entertainment. Hotel was slightly outdated however we liked this as it gave it character, it was clean which is the main thing. Food & drink: Food is overall good, breakfast lovely things for everyone, lunch and dinner again lovely sometimes repetitive but you would expect this for the price. Drinks are good don’t have any complaints about them you pay 1 euro for a plastic cup that is always replaced every time and then when you return the cup you get the money back which is good as it encouraged people to not leave cups around everywhere. Location: The hotel was in a great location 20 minutes walk to the main town where there is loads of bars, restaurants and shops. Locals are lovely, taxi back €6, would recommend as goes up hill on the way back to the hotel. Overall, we loved our stay we got out of it what we wanted. We came for a relaxed break which was needed and we got that. I wouldn’t not book this place from the reviews as holiday resorts are what you make from them.

I was dreading this holiday that my partner booked and wanted to change hotels after reading all the negative reviews. I am so glad we didn't. STAFF On arrival the reception staff greeted us with a smile and quickly told us to put our cases down so we could go for food as it was late and to check in when we finished. We discovered once we got to our room there was no child cot, straight away the lady at reception dealt with this and there was one in the room for us in less than 10 minutes. Breakfast in the morning again we were greeted with a smile and we were made to feel welcome. Booking a trip was effortless and again very friendly staff. The bar staff were friendly The cleaners were friendly All of the staff were friendly throughout. ROOMS The room was very spacious with a large bathroom and 2 double beds and a large balcony with stunning views. The decor is a little dated and looks a little tired in places but to be honest that didn't matter to us and actually increased its appeal as we have already had a holiday in an ultra modern hotel this year and we're just as happy in a older more traditional style hotel. The wardrobes are spacious and the TV we couldn't give you an honest review on as we didn't switch it on. Puerto De La Cruz is such a stunning place that they should take all the TVs out to encourage people to get out and see what it has to offer . My only gripe is the lack of kettle, however I completely get that it's not just a case of putting in a kettle on every room as every room would need an additional socket by the sounds of things as there is only 1 spare per room and that's bedside. My suggestion would be to have the coffee machines in the resteraunt available for all meals and not just breakfast. The room was cleaned to a very good standard every day with the beds made, clean towels, floors done bins emptied etc. We were more than happy to leave the cleaners a tip as it was kept spotless. FOOD The food was pretty good and exceeded our expectations, there was more than enough for us to chooses from at every meal and everything was replenished regularly. ENTERTAINMENT The entertainment that we saw was not the best but again was perfectly ok, it kept the kids entertained when needed which was the main thing We played tennis during the day and made use of the park. The gardens were amazing and very well maintained. All in all very good value for money, it's not 5* ultra all inclusive but nor does it pretend to be.

I read the reviews on my way to the hotel and was a little worried but my worries were unwarranted. Yes the hotel is a little dated but the staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. The food was repetitive but still hot and well cooked although as a vegetarian my choices were limited and it would be good if more choices were considered. Yes there is chickens but I only saw them poo once. On the negative they don’t enforce their rules such as no inflatables in pool and adults only in jacuzzi pool, it would be best to either enforce them or remove them. The only issue I had with my room was it did look like the light in my bathroom was hanging slightly out of the ceiling. The hotel is higher up with some cloud cover during some parts of the day but still hot and you will still get a great tan!

I have just visited this hotel as a solo traveller for 4 days half board. The negative reviews were a worry but this hotel is OK. It is clean, food was lovely, dining staff and cleaners were friendly. There were lots of older people staying and lots of big family groups. It is a family hotel, so there are a lot of kids in the pool. The lady who checked in before me was asked to sign a paper agreeing to take full responsibility for her own children. Generally kids were well behaved. The hotel is a little tired in places, has wear and tear, but was very clean. My room was spotless but the bed was rock hard. Every room has a balcony, aircon, fan and WiFi is free and good wherever you are. The roaming chickens are real and the rooster is vocal. On an evening there were a few noisy ones in various surrounding places. They were no bother at all. There is a mini market/shop on site or a free bus to the town centre, 3 or 4 times a day. It stops at the bus station. There’s a big Mercadona, bars, restaurants and the sea! Breakfast was good, hot, cold, fruit, cereal, bread, meat, cheese, pancakes etc dinner was also good, hot, cold options, salad, fruit, dessert, pizza, pasta there was something for everyone! Orange juice is not free on HB. €3! Reception staff varied from very helpful to really could not be bothered. Veronica was particularly lovely and helped me when my airport transfer did not turn up! The spa was closed for refurb. This was disappointing as the pool jacuzzi was always full of kids. I read you could visit their sister hotel, to use their spa but was not given any info about this on arrival. There is a luggage store but nowhere to shower if you have a later flight home. My check out was 12 noon. My last meal was breakfast. I paid for 4 nights HB but only accessed 3 evening meals. There was no option to buy a lunch meal. I was just told my HB ended with the breakfast. I had a pleasant stay but I’m not sure I would return. I wanted a cheap get-away and it was fine - don’t expect champagne on a lemonade budget!

Plus points- clean hotel and friendly staff. Very clean and rooms cleaned daily. Bed was comfy and nice view of pool and country side. Food and drinks plentiful on all inclusive. Mix of Spanish , German and a few English guests. Negative points- NO SPA as advertised, apparently not open for months. Hotel is about 30 mins walk up and down very steep hill to sea front. Worst thing was lots of Spanish school children on their holidays by the coach load. No sleep as running up and down corridors , banging on doors and playing music. Coaches/teachers not bothered. Sat around drinking not taking notice of the kids. Running wild. Not seen anything like this. Police called as it was that bad. I would not return as the bad points out weighed the good ones. Think it was more a 3 star than 4.
