This hotel was a pleasant surprise on my trip. In Qingdao, during the peak tourist season of August, hotel prices are usually very high, but this one was quite acceptable. What I really loved was its location near Zhanqiao Pier and the church. You don't have to go far to deal with crowds; just walking around the immediate area was very pleasant. It's also an old German building that has been renovated. Although we booked a more budget-friendly attic room, the surrounding environment and service definitely added to its charm. Our biggest surprise was the Western restaurant downstairs. The quality there was genuinely high, from the brunch for breakfast to the pizza, steak, and wine for lunch and dinner. After a long day of sightseeing, it was great to come back and have a beer. There were quite a few foreign guests too. For those who appreciate a certain style and a touch of sophistication, this place is an excellent choice.

Located right by the subway station in the Old Town, the hotel offers convenient transportation. It's just a short walk to Signal Hill Park, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Qingdao's old town. The hotel building itself has a unique charm, but the soundproofing in the rooms could be better. The Western-style breakfast was a highlight, and the service was prompt and friendly.

This hotel is a converted Republic of China-era building, originally a church, and its location is fantastic, right near Sifang Street, making it convenient to get anywhere. The only downside is that the rooms are really small, but the front desk service is excellent, making it worth staying at.

This hotel, a century-old church conversion with a hostel-like vibe, naturally attracts a compatible crowd and service team. I stayed for 3 days and felt incredibly comfortable. It was especially nice not to have the usual noise you find in regular tourist hotels – it truly exceeded my expectations. The front desk team, especially the two women, were very professional and enthusiastic. The hotel's location is also fantastic; it's conveniently located for transportation and close to the lively old town core, making it very friendly for those who drive and enjoy city walks. The attached Western restaurant has a long history, offering high-quality Western breakfasts, and there's a street-side café with affordable prices. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves the culture of old cities. The only minor issue was that the hallway carpets weren't cleaned promptly enough, perhaps to avoid disturbing guests. You could also see it as an element of the relaxed hostel atmosphere.

It's a hostel, just like the ones I stayed at in Europe. I booked a standard room on sale, which was on the top floor attic level. Luckily, it wasn't too cramped. The only downside was the lack of an elevator, which made carrying luggage difficult. The staff helped me with check-in, but I didn't ask for help with check-out. The main advantage is its super convenient location, not far from Signal Hill and the internet-famous wall. It's the perfect choice for anyone who loves city walks.
