After a 1 & 3/4hr taxi transfer we were met with a free drink, informed about mealtimes ,paid for safe, picked up our pool towels & quickly booked into our rooms.The rooms are modern with a good rainfall shower ,comfy bed,safe,tea and coffee making facilties ,free toiletries fridge and a nice quiet effecient air conditioning system.The maid came every day topping up anything that required it & did a great job cleaning with a smile and a ” bonjourno”. We stayed in the adult only part of the hotel with its own pool but its seamlessly connected to next door with its larger pool ,hot tub and in fact the restaurant is situated in this part too where we took breakfast each day buffet style with plenty of hot & cold choices and a cooking station for eggs The gardens are really pretty & well tended which you walk through to the gate & then literally 50 yards down to the beach where there is the hotels private area with beds but you do have to pay for them ..there are plenty of free public areas too. If you walk down the prom you come to the main square where there are plenty of restaurants to coose from & then a little further the marina with its restaurants too.At the entrance to the main square to the left is a great beach bar where you can watch the surfers & para surfers.

Used this place as a base for touring the hill towns of South East Sicily. We found it well located to get to Scicli, Modica and of course Ragusa. All within 20 minutes drive. We arrived late on a Sunday and helpful lady on reception gave us great recommendation. Lovely big room, spacious parking area and big plot to roam. Inviting swimming pool with lots of loungers - bit too cold to use in May though. Poppies and wildflowers abound the grounds. Environmentally conscious theme. Local products well in evidence at breakfast. Good choice of food and great fresh blood orange juice! Overall incredible value. Would come back!

My daughter recently got married at the Relais Chiaramonte on the outskirts of Ragusa. It was a dream wedding in every aspect. The location perched on top of a hill is picture perfect and the setting for the reception just as outstanding. The food ably prepared by Fabio Ulcano and his team is worthy of Michelin star rating. It was divine. Giuseppe Gugliotto, who is the restaurant manager could not be more professional and helpful in making sure all the preparations were set in motion on the day. All the staff at the hotel are so helpful and go out of their way to see to every need. We took over all the rooms at the small hotel for the wedding and it was great to share it with those closest to the family. Overall, I have wonderful memories of this event and I truly have only words of praise for those who made it so memorable and special.

L'hotel si trova lungo la strada di collegamento tra Ragusa e Marina di Ragusa da cui dista circa 12 km. Per spostarsi, quindi, bisogna disporre necessariamente di un veicolo. La struttura è molto carina, con una grande piscina, la palestra, ristorante e bar. Dispone di ampi spazi, tra cui anche un anfiteatro per spettacoli ed un ampio parcheggio interno gratuito. Le camere sono spaziose con affaccio sulla piscina (la nostra) ed il letto comodissimo con topper. Tv 42” ed aria condizionata regolabile dagli ospiti. C'è anche un piccolo frigo con due bottigliette di acqua gratuite e, nel bagno, i soliti accessori. Veramente fantastico il buffet per la colazione soprattutto per chi (come noi) gradisce il dolce e la frutta la mattina. Abbiamo trovato, infatti, diverse specialità di dolci con crema ed alla mandorla e frutta di diversi generi. In conclusione, un ottimo soggiorno anche se solo per una notte ma ci sarebbe piaciuto poter rimanere per una settimana. Sconsigliato per chi non ha la macchina e viaggia con i mezzi pubblici.

This is my second visit here and it only confirms and emphasizes the magic of the place: The hermits really had it good ;) here… Completely renovated while keeping the style and feeling of centuries of good life, having its own food and wine production, staffed by wonderful helpful personnel and having an excellent restaurant on the premises, Don Eusebio, this place will put to shame any of the super expensive and soul-less newer creatings on the island (think Planeta). Pool, bar, laundry service and enchanted premises, they have it all. Not to mention that they are probably the only luxury hotel with private archeological site AND an airplane ***** for private planes! I’m sure we’ll be back.
