Hotels in Wanpingkou/Dongyi town, Rizhao

The location is excellent, with a developed commercial area nearby and a high concentration of good food and entertainment. Within a 10-minute walk, you can find beaches, yachts, sea fishing, and go-karts. The balcony view is great, directly facing the Tidal Tower, which is beautiful both day and night. A short walk takes you to the Rizhao Science and Technology Museum, which is very interesting and impressive. The biggest drawback is the terrible food at the hotel. Breakfast is below average; if you want to make a sandwich, your only option is fried bacon, with no ham available. The dinner buffet was particularly bad. The roasted meat was tough from being heated for too long, and the oysters were completely dried out from steaming. The mini hot pot was also poor, with many of the shellfish being rotten. Eventually, the steam rising from the pot smelled so bad that we had to ask the waiter to remove it. The sashimi even included processed ingredients made from fish meat, fish roe, and crab roe (see picture 8). The only good things at the all-day dining restaurant were the various baked goods and Shandong pancakes. The price of the dinner buffet is very cheap, but I hope the hotel cherishes its reputation. I'd be willing to pay a higher price for good quality ingredients; please don't tarnish the Marriott brand. To be fair, this hotel's price, view, and surrounding amenities are all suitable, and I would choose it again next time, so I still gave it a good review. However, I will not dine at the hotel again, as the food is just too poor (except for the baked goods, which are truly delicious).

The hotel is located in a landmark building in the heart of the Yue Zhao Wan Ping Kou scenic area, offering panoramic views of the sea and city, especially the night view, which is particularly stunning. Having just returned from Hakodate, Hokkaido, I can attest that the night view is comparable to Hakodate or Otaru, two of the world's three most famous night views. The service is exceptionally warm and attentive, the rooms are spacious and very clean, making it a great choice for travel. I highly recommend it to everyone.

The service here is incredibly thoughtful, and all the staff are warm and friendly. Having visited Senbo in Hangzhou and Jiaxing, this Senbo in Rizhao is definitely the largest. There are so many activities! The game where you can exchange 'silver notes' everywhere is really fun, and at night, there's even iron flower-hitting performances and dances to watch. My child had such a great time that we extended our stay for another day. However, because we had to switch room types, we were initially told we'd have to check out and then check back in, which sounded like a real hassle. But our butler, Pudding, was incredibly considerate. She told us to leave our luggage in the room and go enjoy our planned activities, and they would move our bags to the new room for us. This meant our itinerary wasn't affected at all! Every day, Pudding would remind us of the restaurant mealtimes and various activity schedules. So, our entire stay was very relaxing. The sea-view room allowed us to watch the sunrise effortlessly from our balcony without having to go to the beach. We just checked the time beforehand! All our sunrise photos were taken from the hotel balcony, and being able to go straight back to bed afterward was incredibly comfortable! The Ruyi Bridge also makes it super convenient to get to the beach, and the hotel is very close to various attractions. Even at checkout, my child was happy and said they want to come back again. The only drawback was a slight design issue with the first room type we stayed in. The bathroom in the sea-view king room had no partition from the bedroom, which meant privacy was really lacking, even for a family of three. The 'Small Haisen' room type we moved to later was much better.

I chose this hotel for my vacation in Rizhao, and the overall experience was great. The hotel has its own garden and lake views, where you can even see black swans strolling around. It's just a few minutes' walk to Wanpingkou Beach, which makes getting around incredibly convenient. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices, including Haishazi noodles, local pancakes, and fresh lamb soup, all made with fresh ingredients. The seafood dishes we ordered at the Chinese restaurant were authentic and very generously portioned. The hotel has a swimming pool and a gym, and the staff were all very friendly. They even upgraded our room for free. When we checked out, the doorman helped us put our luggage into the taxi, which was a very thoughtful touch. Staying here makes it easy to visit the beach, making it perfect for a short seaside getaway.

The location of the hotel is very good, the environment is beautiful, the lobby is stylish, the parking lot is convenient, the breakfast is great, the front desk Xiao Zhang is very enthusiastic and the sea view room is upgraded for free. I am very satisfied. I can see the sunrise in the room. The waiters are very friendly, the room is enough for four bottles of water, the hotel is very close to the lighthouse and Wanpingkou, close to the chocolate seafood, downstairs is the place for sailing training, and the yacht pier is very suitable for taking pictures. Overall very satisfied, it is recommended, will come next time.

The hotel boasts a prime location with convenient access to transportation. It's right next to the Wanpingkou Scenic Area, offering stunning sea views. The hotel rooms are incredibly spacious and bright, exceeding all expectations. The front desk staff are warm and attentive.

The hotel's location is pretty good, just about a 13-minute walk from Wanpingkou, and there's a direct bus to Rizhao Coastal Forest Park. The front desk service was excellent; they even upgraded my room for free. The room was quite spacious and well-insulated, so I slept very soundly. The hygiene was also top-notch. Overall, I felt it was great value for money (under 100 RMB, which is really good!). Friends visiting Rizhao should definitely consider this place. If I had to pick a downside, it would be that there isn't much of a view outside the window. Wishing the hotel great success!

This is the most painful night I have ever stayed. The mirror light on the sink has not been completely turned off. After manually closing, it will automatically turn on for about 40 minutes. It will affect sleep very much. I am afraid that it will affect my wife and children. I got up eight or nine times a night and manually closed it, but it automatically turned on every time. My stay was awesome. Very clean and good service. Wonderful breakfast with a lot of variety. The location is very convenient. Close to most touristic sites such as the donyin town, sebo resort and to name a few.

Who understands the bliss of watching the sunrise from bed on a freezing cold day! Facing the sea, with spring flowers in bloom. Even at low tide, you can capture a heart-shaped sea view without even going downstairs. After booking, I called the front desk to ask if they could reserve a middle room, and they kindly noted it down. Sure enough, I got a middle room – so sweet! 🫰 The room was surprisingly large; it felt luxurious to stay alone! The hotel is very close to the beach, just a hundred or two meters through the lobby on the first floor. The breakfast selection was plentiful, and the staff at the front desk and restaurant were very nice. It was Christmas Eve when I checked in, and the front desk staff even gave me a ”peace apple” (a traditional Chinese gift for good luck). The cocktails were delivered to my room by a robot, and they tasted good. I forgot to try the coffee, but I'll try it next time. I would call this hotel the king of value for money during the off-season, and I'll definitely stay here again next time.
