Il Rosolaccio

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful spot in Tuscany which began with a warm welcome from the friendly staff. The gorgeous views from our apartment and from the lovely pool were stunning. We enjoyed delicious Tuscan inspired evening meals on the terrace as we watched the sun go down. This is the perfect place for exploring the area, the peace, tranquility and the lovely staff made it so relaxing and we will happily return.

This hotel is ideally located if you wish to visit Florence - Pisa - Sienna - Lucca - Volterra and of course San Gimignano. The actual hotel is simply lovely with possibly the best outlook of any hotel we have stayed in. The food is excellent and so are the staff. If you are planning to visit this area then we cannot reccommend this hotel and its staff highly enough.

We had a wonderful stay here. It was a week of delicious food, absolutely stunning views and warm, welcoming hospitality. The evening meals were a great occasion and the ‘light lunches’ were simple Tuscan joy. I fully recommend this special place. We’ll definitely be back! I’m not sure how you could want more!

After an appalling AirBNB experience which we cut short we booked Il Rosalaccio for two nights and we are so glad we did. It’s such a charming and friendly farm stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful. And you can’t beat the beautiful views over the valley. The pool was gorgeous - so warm and inviting especially with the views. We also had the set menu dinner on the terrace one night watching the sunset Tuscany. It was the best find after bailing on our AirBNB.

When we arrived at Rosolaccio, I felt like I'd been here many times. The contact with other guests from different parts of the world was immediate. The welcome from the staff transformed the guest-staff relationship into a relationship—you feel right at home. The owners welcome you for dinner—a truly family-like atmosphere. In my opinion, the property has nothing but advantages. The rooms are spread across several buildings, overlooking the valley and the fields and vineyards. It's always clean. A rich breakfast and the staff's daily smiles mean a good start to the day. A swimming pool with sun loungers and umbrellas complete the comfort. It's worth taking advantage of Rosolaccio's offer, it's worth coming back. I'm already thinking about next October—Tuscany looks phenomenal in the October sun, and Rosolaccio even more so.

- Room - extremely small, main door broken lock, space between the door and the door sill, you can hear everyone passing by your room, light from the common area of the house entering the room. - Charging 4 Euros if you want clean towels (if your stay is less than four days). - Unwanted Housekeeping entered the room. - Breakfast - suggestion - cover the food due to the amount of flies that are over and on the food items constantly, all bakery products not fresh. - Taking into consideration that the property is not big, you should be able to know your guests, and not ask every single time which room you are staying in (I am talking from the personal experience as I have been working in customer service for 14+ years) - When approached to the management with the issues, the management was condescending, not polite and arrogant. - This is the first place in our 14+ years of traveling that we felt unwelcome. - The place has a massive potential, but bad management.

Excellent 6 night stay in May 2024. Nestled into the Tuscan hills surrounded by several cool hilltop villages to visit. Very good breakfast & optional dinner service with wonderful home style cooking. Pool with views over the vineyards & several hiking trails start from the property. The staff is extremely attentive & helpful. We took a cooking class from the house chef which was quite fun!

My wife (Giovanna) and I were absolutely enchanted by our stay at this charming villa in the heart of Tuscany. The meals, facilities, views, activities, and service were all beyond compare, but it was truly the people that made this a vacation of a lifetime. Their passion for providing authentic Italian hospitality and creating a customer-first experience was evident in every detail. We cannot recommend this magical place enough and eagerly await our return.

We felt so fortunate to find this beautiful, family run farmhouse up on the hills in Tuscany. It overlooks a valley of vineyards which is enjoyed by the prestige pool, or having drinks while watching the sunset after a day of exploring. Steven and son, George, went to great length to ensure we were comfortable and cared for while hosted by them. We enjoyed meeting and getting to know other travellers, many who have returned annually for many years now.
