It was useful that trip tells you the size of the beds so that you can determine whether they’re big enough to share with children. Lots of the hotels say that children can stay free, but the beds are no way big enough. The shanghai garden hotel has 2x 1.2m single beds in a standard room, which is considered a small double in the uk, and was comfortable for my family of 4.
We visited the swimming pool during our stay and it was very refreshing. Be advised it is mandatory to wear swim cap. Which will have to be purchased if you don’t have it.
Breakfast was vast, lots of choice of Chinese, Japanese and western style. We particularly enjoyed 混沌汤, 点心。 Disappointed with the 包子, 生煎包 - which didn’t really have much filling, flavour, and 油条 - which wasn’t fluffy felt it was cooked from frozen. Particularly annoying when we were asked to pay the high full price for our small 12 year old and half price for 7 year old, rather than by height which is what other hotels do. They hardly ate anything! Consider being more family friendly!
