I went to Shenzhen for a business trip of several days. Because I had good experiences with Kempinski before I decided to book at them. The booking process was pretty straightforward and easy through TRIP.COM. At check-in I explained my situation and they have extended my check out to 8PM even though I was willing to pay. Even though the rooms are a little bit outdated, it was clean and well equipped. Always tidy when I come back from a work day. When they notice that I drink more water they have placed more bottles for me everyday. Location wise it's very central for Shenzhen with Metro station directly in front of the hotel. Few stations to borders to HK and to the airport. The hotel is now surrounded by shopping malls thus also easy to find food. All with all: maybe not the top notch 5* hotel anymore but the people serve with a heart. I will visit here again.

The room is extremely spacious Unsure if it is the weather but the room is quite humid and has a smell to it which took quite a while to vent out. A little inconvenient that you need to take the lift up to the lobby and another lift up to the room. But in general, quite a good stay and location is convenient.

The hotel is in an excellent location, very convenient for shopping and traveling! Because I arrived earlier, the front desk upgraded me to a wide-view sea view room for free. The view was excellent and I could see the entire Shenzhen Bay. The service is also very good, including afternoon tea. Surprisingly, late night snacks were also given. The breakfast is very rich and of good quality. I left something behind at the hotel when I left, and customer service Xiao Xu enthusiastically helped to send it back. Strong Amway Hotel! 😀

Typical room. Solo traveler so I thought the Queen bed room was a nice size. Comfy bed and a tub! I was traveling with a family so the park across the street was nice. The pool was cold but they do have a sauna and steam room which was nice. The gym area is in a separate building and so I recommend going to the first floor and exiting the back of the hotel to access it. Breakfast was limited with the second morning having better offerings. Lots of options not too far including taking the subway to get whatever you like. Starbucks is very close…if you like coffee. Pleasant stay and good location.
