We booked this property because the reviews were decent, it had a kitchen, and was across from the tennis center where we were taking a camp. The booking was for a studio and it turned out to be in "Building 1" which is the only building on the property which does not have AC. It was a _very_ hot August, and the studio only had one window -- so no cross breeze -- and the window absolutely soaked in all of the sun during the hottest part of the day. So when we checked in it was like an oven. (Yes I should have been more careful about booking -- there was no AC amenity listed -- but honestly I didn't expect to need an AC in the Colorado mountains, and wouldn't have needed it in most properties). There was a Vornado fan in the unit, but efforts to get a box fan to put in the window resulted in 2 nonworking fans before we could secure a working one. It was very stressful and we hardly slept the first night due to the heat. We mostly solved the heat problem ourselves by buy buying a $5 windshield reflector from Walmart and putting in the window behind the shade to block the sun in the afternoon. Once I tried to beat the heat by working upstairs from reception, where there are computers etc, but it's also a game room and unsupervised children were pretty much throwing pool balls across the table. Also be aware that there are different ways for different guests (time share vs. regular bookings? Not sure.) to get on wifi -- the one we were supposed to use was paid and quite expensive. The bed was a Murphy bed -- which is fine but the mattress is exceedingly soft. The unit still had sufficient room to move around with the bed down. Our other big complaint is the front desk staff. They ranged from very helpful to hanging up on us. At one point when pointing out out how hot it was and that they still hadn't managed to get us a working box fan, and we said that we were going to leave a bad review and were told to "go ahead." We were also told frankly that the "owners" were holding out on installing ACs in this building, which was the oldest in the complex. Our impression is that this is time share that is partly managed by Wyndham, but where the owners still have the control. My opinion has gone down of Wyndham for agreeing to manage such a property and I will be wary of them in the future. Positives: The maintenance people who brought the fans were prompt and seemed to be really trying. The kitchen was well supplied, and no complaints about the bathroom or cleanliness. Conclusions: If you must book this property be careful and ensure you know what you are getting . Avoid Building 1 -- I think you'd have to call and find out which building you are booking for- -and be ready for minimal front desk support if things go wrong.
