Went for a meal after a day of hiking the West Highland Way. What a find. Cozy and chic. Danish partner says very hyggeligt. Excellent food and friendly staff. . A long hike to get there but when you are in the area it is a great discovery. Both our meals were excellent and reappeared good value. .

After 2 days of hiking the West Highland Way we arrived here. It felt like paradise to us after some tough days of hiking and wildcamping. We stayed on the campsite which was a lovely small place that looked like a garden. The showers were even better than mine at home and it was all very clean. You absolutely can’t skip the restaurant because the food that they serve is simply amazing, and also for a affordable price. The people that are working there are so kind and made us really feel at home. We had a hard time leaving in the end. I almost never write reviews but this place deserves at least 5 stars!

After three days of hiking with the last day full of injuries, we managed to arrive to the bunkhouse (campsite). We only planned to stay here for one night but immediately fell in love with this place. The welcoming and very friendly staff (and owners), the food and the facilities were everything that we needed. A warm shower, drying room and a restaurant with amazing food. We enjoyed it so much that we chose to stay another night. The next day we planned to do nothing and just sit around but one of the owners had a chat with us and invited us to make use of their kayak. If you’re walking the West Highland Way and are looking for a nice place to rest around Inversnaid I would honestly reccomend this place to everyone. Make sure you try to have diner in the bistro aswell because the food is awesome too!

What an excellent place to stay. Lovely people, thoughtful, engaged and delivering excellent food. Thank you to the team there. Altogether a lovely experience. Comfortable lounge area, everything was clean, pretty spot and seems to encourage friendly guest culture.

Like a lot of people, we stayed here for a night while walking the West Highland Way. We got here about 8pm at the end of the walk from Drymen, and after those last few miles walking along forest paths in fading light, the welcome here was genuinely wonderful. We were offered a pickup by car from the hotel at the bottom of the road. I'm not certain if they always do that, but it was really welcome. The stay here was a good experience all round. The building itself is lovely, with some gorgeous stained glass. The guys working here were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fairly basic but the food we had for dinner was great. There's also a fridge with plenty of good beer you can serve yourself from. They'll sell you a packed lunch for the next day's walk, which is great since there are no shops around. The accomodation is nice for what it is, and it felt like good value. I genuinely really liked this place. Out of all the places that we stayed on our WHW trip this is the one I most remember fondly. The only thing I'd mention as useful info is not to get there too late. When we went, the kitchen was last orders at 8:30. That's completely fair given the small scale they're working on, but it might catch you out if you're walking into the evening like we were. There's not really any other options for getting a meal around here, so be careful.

Stopped here with my husband for one night during our West Highland Way walk. Owner gave us a complimentary lift up the fairly steep road from the Inversaid Hotel to the bunkhouse, which was most welcome. Our room was clean and comfortable and we fell asleep to the sound of the nearby stream. We had dinner, breakfast and packed lunch. All three were made up to a standard, with no corners cut and generous portions. Skimping and cutting corners are terms that simply don't apply to this venue. Service was excellent throughout our stay, with nothing being too much trouble. The curry was superb, and tasted as though it had been prepared from fresh ingredients. The hummous in my packed lunch sandwich tasted homemade, too, as did the seeded flapjack. It was a pleasure to stay here, and I hope that we will one day be back

We were recommended this by our host Kelly at the farm house in Inversnaid (also worth checking out for accommodation). We had a fantastic meal here. The food was so tasty, we were very impressed. The place had such a welcoming atmosphere, beautiful old church building, turning it into place to eat and I do believe you can stay there. The church was renovated but not taking away its feel and authentic look, fairy lights set the scene too. The staff were friendly and vibe so chill. I’d recommend stopping by if near here.

My wife and I were about a third of the way through the 96 mile, 9 day hike on the West Highland Way. We were staying at a nearby bed and breakfast which did not offer meals, but fortunately the Bunkhouse was only about a half mile down the hill, so we walked down for dinner. We had a venison stew and an unusually good chicken curry, plus a "rocket" salad which was particularly welcome in meat/fish/haggis and potatoes Scotland. Probably the best meal we had during three weeks in Scotland! The next morning we picked up an excellent bag lunch for the trail, too.
