My husband and I stayed at the sun and sand March 21 to the 23rd. We were checked in by William the 3 to 11 guy who was very personable and knowledgeable .We stayed in room 1120 which had been remodeled, super clean ,comfortable beds and a wonderful stand in shower. Leaving we were checked out by Mr McIver, who himself was super nice and checked us out in a timely manner. For picking out a hotel from online my husband did a great job. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Throughly enjoyed my stay and will return. If you go give a shout out to William, he will make sure your well taken care of. Great place to stay in Myrtle Beach. We rented a king bed with ocean view balcony. We were not disappointed with watching the ocean sunrise from our room. Room was spacious with full fridge, freezer, small stovetop and mini dishwasher. The hot breakfast buffet was a nice perk for one less meal to eat out. We did not use the pool for our visit but looked great and would be fun for kids. Its so nice to be on the beach and boardwalk to go walking. I would definitely stay here again or recommend to otherw for the price. I got a great deal on hopper app 2 weeks before hand.

We have stayed here several times while visiting the Myrtle Beach area. It is very conveniently located right off 17 in Murrel's Inlet south away from the tourist swarms, madness and traffic of Myrtle Beach itself. Usual good hot breakfast, friendly staff, pleasant hot tub/spa (outdoors) for afternoon soaking after a day out on the town. Clean rooms, housekeeping every 4th day or by request on long stays. Many area food places close by. The street behind hotel goes to 707 which allows you to get more quickly across the jam packed area. Front driveway off 17 enters only from north so have to go around the block if coming from the south, like Pawley's Island or such. Quiet, peaceful more mature guests. Can't go wrong.

This was the second time we stayed in this hotel, mainly because we had our dog with us part of the trip and Red Roof doesn’t charge pet fee. The first time we visited was in the winter and the room we stayed was fairly clean, but this time we visited in June, the room was not as clean. First after we checked in, we got a room either it was not cleaned or someone still in it; there were towels and clothes everywhere. We went back to the front desk and changed to a different room, the room showed it was cleaned but the floor was still pretty dusty and sandy, we were too tired to request room change again so we just used the towel to wipe the floor ourselves. Overall the hotel was OK for the price we paid. It is a lower budget hotel and dated. I have no problem with an older hotel, but just wish they can at least clean the room better.

Great location. Easy to get to everything between Pawleys Island and Myrtle Beach. Staff was awesome. Very nice, very accommodating, overall one of the most pleasant experiences. In a time where customer service is lacking in so many ways, we had a superior experience. Especially love that it is pet friendly and clean. We will definitely recommend and stay there again!

I had issues with my flight being cancelled and then rescheduled. The first night, Trip.com was able to have the reservation moved, but the 2nd night someone named Charisse in Guest Relations told Trip.com that they couldn’t change the date due to their policy. Well, since it had just been done the previous day, I know that’s not true. So I’m out $265 and still have to fly to Myrtle Beach in the morning for business. Thanks for nothing, Staybridge.
