Park Hyatt Tokyo

Shinjuku Area Tokyo|2.93km from Mugs
Booked a deluxe king for 5 nights through the Hyatt website. The hotel is very large and the common areas are large, beautiful, and decorated in a very classy manner. Views are amazing from pretty much everywhere. The gym is well equipped and maintained. The swimming pool is smaller than I imagined and yes, you do need to reserve a time to use it. The hallways on the floors where the rooms are were quite dimly lit with dark wallpaper. I would say these hallways could use some updating in terms of the decor. The location of the hotel is a bit out of the way as the closest metro station (Shibuya) is a 15-20 minute walk. I usually ended up taking the bus or a cab to the station, or when it was early - walked. The shuttle wasn't all that frequent so I never took it. Check-in was very service oriented with someone leading me from the lobby to the check-in desk and giving me the low-down on the hotel. Actual check-in took took longer than I had hoped but I had just come from a 16 hour flight and really just wanted to go to sleep. As a Hyatt Explorist, I was upgraded to a larger corner room with more light. At first, they said they were willing to offer me the room at a special rate and when I said no thanks, they just upgraded me for free. I felt this was weird as you either have the availability to upgrade someone with elite status, or you don't. The room was large by Tokyo standards with lots of windows. I didn't find the decor staid as other reviewers have noted. I would say the decor is classic and refined. I've been to Tokyo several times already so I actually spent a bit of time in the room in the morning before heading out. It was a good amount of space to spread out, have some room service, and just relax. There are power plugs near the bed for those of us who like to charge their phone nearby. TV channels are limited though and there is no way to cast streaming services from your phone. The bathroom has a Dyson hair dryer which I enjoyed. Housekeeping was consistently great. The room was always clean, toiletries replenished, and requests were always delivered promptly. I had the breakfast buffet the first morning I was there and then room service every morning after as it doesn't cost any more than eating in the restaurant. The buffet was great and I would recommend trying it at least once. You get to order one main egg dish or french toast/pancakes and then there is the buffet. The spread wasn't as large as other hotels/resorts I've been to but everything there was high quality and delicious. Oftentimes, larger buffets have a mix of decent food and just edible filler stations. But everything here was really good. All of the food stations were actually very small as the kitchen kept replacing them with fresh food. Room service was always delivered quickly and set up perfectly. I ordered the Japanese breakfast one morning (it's the only breakfast available for delivery at 6am) which was tasty but kind of left me a bit hungry. All other mo

Tokyu Stay Nishi Shinjuku

Tokyu Stay Nishi Shinjuku

Shinjuku Area Tokyo|2.27km from Mugs
First the positives and then a negative. Great location, about 15 min walk to bustling central Shinjuku. Family Marts etc., eateries all around and metro 2 min walk away. The area is perfect as it's quieter, even close to a lovely park and all amenities at your door. Besides needing a good dust and coffee marks wiped off the wall, the hotel is clean and comfortable. There is free coffee and toiletries in the reception area the included washing machine/dryer in the room was a huge plus. YOU WILL NOT GET EARLY ROOM ACCESS EVEN IF YOUR BAGS ARE WAITING IN YOUR ROOM. We arrived early morning knowing we would not be able to check in until the afternoon so staff stored our luggage as expected. When we arrived back at the hotel at about 1:30pm and our bags were nowhere to be found the receptionist informed us they had already been taken to our room as the room was ready. Excited about finally getting access to a shower and some rest after a long flight we anticipated this meant we would be able to enter the room. The receptionist then left to speak to who I imagine is a manager only to come back and tell us check in is at 3pm so we have to wait until then and if we wanted to access the room early it would cost 1,000 yen per person. I know check in stated 3pm but I found this to be exceptionally poor customer service. Seeing as our bags were already in the room it would have made absolutely no difference to the hotel for us to enter the room 1 1/2 hours early but instead the rigid rule left quite a very negative impression. We did end up getting access at 2:30pm only because an elderly Japanese gentleman wanted to check in at this time and they didn’t want to make him wait in the lobby. The negative experience is such a shame because had this not have occurred I would return on my next trip.

Business Hotel Crescent
3.3/54 Reviews
The hotel is located in Nakano, Tokyo, and the first thing I feel is that despite the staff being always present, ready to help and very kind of this is not a tourist-advisable facility. The area is quiet and the structure is clean and clean, the quality of sleep is good, the rooms are very small and the doors are not provided with garments so when the wind is very strong the rooms become very cold, The heat pump inside is softening cold but not enough. The bathrooms are clean and quality-friendly but a window without frame but with a ”loft” helps keep the room very cold. There is an emergency machine vendor on the ground floor. I was a guest at Crescent for 4 nights and I feel I say that for a night on the flight like a business hotel actually needs to be used can also go well, but for a holiday, The hotel is 5 minutes walk from Nakano station that connects the neighborhood to any other point. Tokyo airports included. Free, stable and fast internet throughout the facility.
Nakano Sunplaza Hotel

It is very close to Nakano Subway Station, and it is only a 3-minute walk away, with convenient transportation. Breakfast is an appointment package, divided into Japanese and Western food. The first day of the afternoon, I decided which kind of breakfast ticket to eat the next morning. The Japanese meal is exquisite, and the western food is a bit large. It was just a few hours before the room was cleaned, and everything else was fine.

JR-EAST HOTEL METS KOENJI

Before moving to the country, I chose this hotel because the price of the local and kichijoji hotels was high. It was convenient to connect directly to the station. The front desk staff was also nice, the room was clean and I was able to stay in the corner room away from the elevator as I wanted in advance. The bathtub was a little deep, and it was good to take a bathing agent behind the front desk and take a bath slowly. The breakfast of this business hotel is good, and there are many buffet styles of dishes, but it was good to have a breakfast made on the second floor. I want to use it if I have another chance.

It's a little far from the downtown area, so you have to change from Nakano Fujimicho Station to Taya Shibuya Ginza Tokyo Station two or three times, but it was quiet and there was a pretty Gaecheon-gil in front of the station, so it was nice to take a walk. The hostel was spacious and clean, but the bathroom was narrow and it was too cold at night to be in February with one air conditioner ㅜㅜ Convenience stores, moss burgers, bakery (really delicious) are crowded around the station, so you have to walk for about 5 minutes. I am willing to visit again in the season, not in winter ^^
