De locatie nabij het station in Turnhout naast het spoor gaf ons eerst twijfels, maar het geluid van de voorbij rijdende trein is nauwlijks hoorbaar. Heerlijk geslapen. Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid, er was ruime keuze.

Had a wonderful time at this hotel. The friendly staff was available 24/7 and always ready to assist. Felt like home. Despite its central location, the hotel is easily accessible (with parking on site). The room was been recently renovated and has a warm and cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended for those seeking comfort and hospitality in the city center! Warm thank you to the staff.

I was staying in this hotel for my friends wedding and I would definitely come back when I want to relax and explore more of Turmhout. The room I got was recently renovated with a new floor and wallpaper Everything from the checkin, arranging taxi to the wedding venue and breakfast went smoothly. Staff is the hidden 5th star of this 4 star hotel, so attentive and do not mind helping with all the guests' needs. The location of the hotel itself is impressive as being next to the train station means they are also in the dead center of turnhout, sadly with the wedding going on I didn't t have enough time to explore the city but the hotel is the perfect starting point. Looking forward for my next visit!

The rooms were spacious, spotless and hadcomfortable beds with beautiful cotton linens. There were lots of towels in the bathroom as well as toiletries for convenience. The room was cleaned daily. The little 'welcome package ' of wine, chocolate, tea, coffee and water were a lovely detail. Breakfast buffet had everything on offer you could want. Its within walking distance of bars, restaurants, bus and train stops. The staff were a credit to this hotel, they were friendly and extremely helpful, and had very good English which was very useful for us. Without any hesitation I'll be back now I've finally found a 'home away from home in Turnhout.

We could not find a hotel in the area late at night. We had a warm welcome at the City Hotel just before midnight without booking beforehand. The staff were very friendly and helpful , we had a nice room overlooking the platform and not very noisy at all. Superb buffet breakfast awaited in the morning. Good value for money as well.

So many reasons to steer clear. Firstly, you can ignore the description on ***********: the rooms are directly next to the platform of a live train station, so very noisy; the paid parking is not on-site but instead in a shared parking lot over the road without proper security; checkout is not at 11:00, and if you want to check out at 11:00 it will cost you EUR 25; and it is not deposit-free, they want EUR 100 deposit as well as your fees upfront. My biggest gripe is that someone at the hotel ignored my *********** 'free to cancel at any time' reservation and instead booked me in as a direct booking. When I asked to cancel under the *********** policy because of the issues above (which only emerged after check-in), I was told I couldn't. We couldn't stay, and they refused to refund us. AVOID AT ALL COST!
