The Venice Venice Hotel

Grand Canal Venice|0.35km from Palazzo Ca' Faccanon
We had high hopes for our anniversary trip. It had been years since I had visited Venice and I was very excited about this hotel reservation that was a surprise for my wife. After arriving at the hotel at 10 pm we quickly left the room to walk around and have Dinner. The next morning we left the room at 6 am for a full day tour. When we returned that afternoon to get ready for an event, my wife noticed that the purse she was planning on wearing for the event was missing. After looking through her things in the closet she realized that a total of 4 items were gone. One of the items was an expensive purse handed down from her grandmother. The total of the 4 items was great. At this same time, two men opened the door to the room unannounced and when they realized we were in the room, they quickly turned around and left (no explanation, no apology for the intrusion) The Hotel staff acted as if they were there to help but in reality they were just waiting for us to leave Venice so that they could claim that ”no evidence was found in camera recordings”. No effort to fix the situation has been made and communication has become more and more dismissive since we returned from our trip. No effort has been made and it is obvious that there is no intention to even attempt to help us with the loss. Very disappointed in this (((5 star))) hotel experience. Would definitely not stay here again, and would like to warn others to lower their expectations of customer service and satisfaction. Also, beware of theft in these high tourism sites.

This is a boutique hotel a few minutes walk from the Rialto Bridge in a very central location. We stayed for 3 nights and had a lovely stay. The hotel is on 5 floors with no lift and a winding staircase, so is unlikely to be suitable for someone with limited mobility. It dates from the 1400s and is full of classic features. Our room was very clean, quiet and comfortable with a good shower, fast internet and tea and coffee facilities. Michael, the manager was extremely helpful and friendly from my initial booking via email and when we were staying. He booked an excellent restaurant for us one night and suggested some good places to visit. An excellent host. We had no problem accessing the hotel using the provided access code and instructions. Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed a couple of nights in the 2-bedroom apartment (canal view) in the Ca'Foscolo residence. The location is perfect, right between Rialto bridge and St Marks square. Around the corner is the Farini bakery (great coffee and great breakfast). The hosts/staff are very kind and helpful. The rooms are very spacious and clean (perfect for families or couples) and very well equipped with all necessary tools (even a washing machine and dryer and dishwasher). It has been a great stay for us. There are just two little things, you need to consider: First, the reception desk is only operated a couple of hours during the day (but there is a WhatsApp number for urgent inquiries). Second, the breakfast (only option is in-room) is only a solid back-up solution but not first choice. However, the value for the price is really great!

Wonderful to be in the centre although limited view of canals and happenings. Nice quiet corner and extremely easy to manage , secure access to our flat. Newly refurbished , high standard of finishes and interior design for luxury comfort. Kitchen pantry likewise enjoyment to make coffee and have our light breakfast. The only comment on the size of bathroom, shower is the shower door can only open 70% ( unit 23)) so would appreciate if establishment improved this to sliding door panel. Just a short stay but would definitely recommend this property and also try the other Be mate properties in other cities.

We've been coming to Venice now for 30 years.. and haven't yet experienced any bad hotels.. This one is no exception.. It's true, as with everything in life, you get what you pay for... I do think this offers slightly more than some in the same price range.. an Excellent coffee machine and vending machine offering snacks and water. Not the largest cup of coffee in the world, but at 70cents well worth it and a bottle of water to take out with you as you start the day at just 1 euro . How can you complain. Staff are very friendly (remember guys there may be a language barrier.... but I don't speak Italian but have always managed a very pleasant conversation with everyone I've met there) some rooms are small.. but they are clearly described on their website .. if you want a large room... book one. If you want a view, pay for it! All we really need is a clean room with somewhere comfy to sleep.. I've always found this... Thanks again everyone for your hospitality during our stay last week Sue & Jim xx

What a wonderful hotel! We arrived by water taxi after a wonderful cruise through canals, and were dropped off next to the hotel. There were gondoliers outside, and it is next to a bridge with people everywhere! The staff were friendly and breakfast was available in the little tratoria next door. Our room was lovely - very traditional furnishings and Juliette balcony. We will definitely return.
