XI’AN DAJING CASTLE HOTEL

For over thirty years, I've passed by, stopped, and observed this place countless times. After much hesitation, I finally took advantage of a weekend getaway to experience and connect with it. From the opening of Chang'an Castle Hotel, its continuation as Grand Regal Castle Hotel, to its re-launch as Grand Barony Castle Hotel – a landmark in Xi'an's historical and cultural development, a living chronicle of ancient city culture – it finally unfolded before my eyes. A hotel isn't just a place for travelers to rest; it's also a venue for sharing its inherent spirit with all visitors. Witnessing its timeless classic decor, the aged wooden furniture, its steadfast resistance to modern fast-paced trends, and the inherent tranquility and elegance etched into its very being, it gradually reveals the inclusiveness and understanding of Eastern aesthetics to visitors from around the world. Facing the Yongning Gate city wall, overlooking the square below, countless tourists moving in and out before your eyes, you can't help but feel a connection to the lives of people a thousand years ago. The hotel boasts spacious rooms, an open interior, and a clean, hygienic environment. The staff are courteous, and there's a high proportion of foreign guests. With reasonable prices, it's an excellent choice for anyone visiting Xi'an. **Amenities:** Thoughtful, comprehensive, attentive. **Hygiene:** Clean. **Environment:** A world apart just through a door – the glass door separates the hustle and bustle from peaceful comfort; quiet and relaxing. **Service:** Enthusiastic, thorough, patient, always accommodating.

The hotel itself is quite good, and the location is excellent. However, the room's decor and facilities are a bit dated; for instance, there's no smart toilet or smart amenities. Also, I have allergies, and after staying there for two days, my rhinitis flared up, which somewhat affected my experience. The breakfast was indeed good, but there's a downside to that. Many Xi'an delicacies are typically eaten for breakfast, so if you eat at the hotel, you miss out on trying the local street food.

First, the positives: the location and the view from the window are excellent. Although it's an older five-star hotel, the room cleanliness is truly impeccable. The front desk and restaurant staff were also very professional. Breakfast was delicious. The downsides are also quite obvious: the shower water pressure was low, and the drain was very slow, causing water to pool. The room faced the street, so it was a bit noisy at night. There's no swimming pool, and the gym is tiny. I heard from the staff that the hotel is gradually undergoing renovations and upgrades. I hope for a better facility experience next time.

Absolutely gorgeous! The hotel's design really captures that decadent 80s Miami vibe, and the views are fantastic. The front desk staff were super nice too! Highly recommend.

Booked a suite for over 1000 yuan. The front desk promised two breakfasts, but when my friend went to check in, they said there was no breakfast. It was quite awkward, and we ended up not having breakfast at all, checking out early. The room furnishings were old. The location is good. I hope the service can be improved. Giving it five stars out of habit.

The room was clean, tidy, and bright, offering a fantastic view of the city wall. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of delicious options. The front desk service was excellent and deserves commendation. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The hotel is located near Xi'an's Yongning Gate city wall, right next to Wangfujing Mall. From the outside, it looks like a castle, giving off a very Japanese vibe. Although the facilities are a bit dated, it's very clean. The front desk, restaurant staff, and housekeeping were all very friendly. The scenic room offers direct views of the outside, and with the windows closed, it's very soundproof. Breakfast was fantastic, with so many options, and the head chef was incredibly nice. On the day I checked in, I didn't have time for lunch and was working in the lobby. They brought me a plate of small pastries, which was a lifesaver for someone with low blood sugar. Thumbs up! I'll definitely stay here for all my future business trips.

I stayed for four nights at this hotel located near Xi'an City Wall. The location is great, and parking was convenient for self-driving. It was easy to get to both 'Jiu Jiu Da Qin' and 'Daming Palace Banquet'. The hotel seems to be an older one, perhaps from the 1990s, but the interior is quite beautiful and the design is excellent. It doesn't feel like those old hotels with outdated decor at all.

Located just outside Yongning Gate, the hotel boasts an excellent location with fantastic night views. The front desk staff were very friendly and even arranged a high-floor room for me. The breakfast was superb, especially the Roujiamo (Chinese hamburger), which was incredibly delicious. The beef paomo (pita bread soaked in lamb soup) was also good. Five-star rating!
