Hotel hopping in Macau is a mesmerizing experience
#familytrips2024
Hotel hopping in Macau at night is like stepping into a fairy tale. The city lights up with the most stunning displays from all the fancy hotels. Each one is like its own little world of luxury and beauty. From The Londoner's grandeur to MGM Cotai's modern style, every hotel is a sight to behold. Walking around, you feel like you're in a dream. It's perfect for anyone who loves luxury or just wants to see something truly amazing.
I wish to go to Hong Kong for my family trip as Hong Kong is paradise for food lovers, offering a wide variety of culinary delights. My family will enjoy very much.
A dazzling place that came and didn't want to leave
My long-awaited trip to Macau🇲🇴 finally started on my 21st birthday!
-
Mode of transportation:
🚇Guangzhou South-Zhuhai Station💰70, get off the high-speed train and go directly through the Gongbei Port.
-
🌈🌈Main attractions in Macau🌈🌈
Venetian Macao, The Londoner Macao, Parisian Macao, Wynn Palace, MGM Cotai (good for photos, better at night, mainly for luxury shopping, all in Cotai)
Rua do Cunha (eating, also in Cotai) Hac Sa Beach (come during the day for photos)
Grand Lisboa Hotel, Ruins of St. Paul's, Fisherman's Wharf
Rua da Esperança, Church of Our Lady of the Rosary (a straight line, close to Gongbei Port)
-
💗💗No turning back route💗💗
🌈Rua do Cunha—Venetian—Londoner—Wynn Palace—MGM🌈
Rua do Cunha has many local snacks, such as Portuguese egg tarts, beef offal, rice cakes, fish balls, gelato ice cream, and yuanyang milk tea, all delicious. The local McDonald's is really different from the mainland! Venetian is mainly for shopping, with many imported snacks, and queuing up for Andrew's egg tarts really takes a long time. Then go to the Londoner for photos, it looks really good at night, truly a dazzling experience. We planned to take the free sunset cable car at Wynn Palace, but when we got there at 9:30, it was no longer available 😢
🌈Ruins of St. Paul's—Rua da Esperança—Parisian🌈
Ruins of St. Paul's is really crowded, there is a great photo spot near Uniqlo, but you need to queue up. There are also many eateries along the way, ordering a large beef offal set meal is just right for two people. Walk to Rua da Esperança, this is where you can take pictures of the Grand Lisboa! Then go to the Parisian, across the street there is a small park with many photo spots. It's really hot at 2 pm... so it's better to go when the weather is cooler! Makeup melts in the summer!
-
🏨About accommodation:
If you are a student, it is recommended to stay in some cost-effective hotels, we stayed at the 'Macau Riviera Hotel'
Since it was my birthday, I sent an email to the hotel's email, and they prepared a small cake for me that day! So happy! I heard they will also help decorate the room!
⚠️Little tips:
1️⃣Try to exchange some Macanese pataca in advance, you can only use cash on buses! Taking a taxi in Macau is a bit expensive.
2️⃣Buy an overseas mobile card in advance on your phone or in the small mall under Gongbei Port.
3️⃣After passing through, there are free shuttle buses to various hotels, free of charge, no need to take a taxi🚕
A Nanny-Level Guide to a One-Day Tour in Macau, This Article Is All You Need!
Essential Preparations: 1. Hong Kong and Macau Travel Permit 2. 150 Macau Patacas 3. One-day Macau data package
About Macau Patacas: You can exchange currency on the right side of the Gongbei Port. The main use of Macau Patacas is for taking the bus, which costs 6 Patacas per ride. Since the smallest denomination we can exchange is 10 Patacas, you can get change at convenience stores in Macau. Most shops in Macau accept WeChat Pay, and only a very few shops accept only Macau Patacas.
About the data package: Open Alipay, change your location to Macau, click the camera icon in the middle at the bottom, then click on 'Overseas Internet' to buy a data package. If you don't watch videos, 1GB for 10 Patacas per day is enough.
About the 'Prosperity Bus': After passing through customs, it's on the right side, starting at 9:30 am. Take it for free to the Grand Lisboa Hotel and start your Macau journey!
Must-visit Attractions:
The Londoner p2-6, The Parisian p7-8, The Venetian p9-11, Rua da Cunha p12, Grand Lisboa Hotel p13, Ruins of St. Paul's p14, St. Dominic's Church p15, Monte Fort p16, Holy House of Mercy p17
Suggested Tour Route:
1. Macau Peninsula:
Grand Lisboa Hotel - Holy House of Mercy - St. Dominic's Church - Ruins of St. Paul's - Monte Fort - Rua da Cunha - MGM Macau
2. Cotai:
MGM Cotai - The Londoner - The Venetian - The Parisian
Grand Lisboa Hotel: The first stop after getting off the 'Prosperity Bus', and a landmark of Macau. A must-visit for successful photo opportunities.
Holy House of Mercy: Located next to the Senado Square, the white Western-style building with a fountain in front is full of atmosphere.
Ruins of St. Paul's: One of Macau's landmark attractions, known for being crowded! The big tree on the right slope is a great place for photos, and if you go up the slope, you'll reach Monte Fort.
Monte Fort: Overlooking the Macau Peninsula, it gives a different impression of Macau.
Rua da Cunha: A popular photo spot with the towering Grand Lisboa Hotel along the street.
MGM Macau: Take the 'Prosperity Bus' for free to MGM Cotai.
The Londoner: The next stop after MGM Cotai. Promise me to stay until evening because you will love the glittering Macau. The garden and corridor in front of The Londoner are great for photos.
The Venetian: The water city is on the third floor to the left after entering The Venetian. The artificial blue sky and the gondoliers rowing slowly on the deep blue water make it feel like you're in Venice. Every photo is beautiful!
The Parisian: The best spot is across the street in the garden of The Parisian, where you see many girls taking photos.
Rua do Cunha: A gathering place for Macau's delicacies, including Lian Coffee, Century Coffee, Rong Ji Beef Offal, Tai Lei Loi Kei, and Longzhou Glutinous Rice Dumplings.
After a day's journey, take the bus to the Border Gate Terminal to leave Macau.
Conclusion: Actually, Macau is not as big as imagined. You can finish touring the Macau Peninsula in the morning if you start at 9 am. However, to capture the glittering Macau at night, I spent the afternoon waiting foolishly, so for those who mainly want to capture the glittering Macau at night, it's advisable to start touring in the afternoon. Following my route, you'll make it in time. Lastly, I wish everyone a pleasant trip!
I'd like to share my extraordinary experience at MGM Macau
MGM Macau is truly a 'jewel box', not only does it look like a jewel box, but it also houses many treasures inside.
Strolling through MGM Macau, you are surrounded by over three hundred top-tier treasures. A collection of 28 imperial carpets from the Qing Dynasty is displayed in the public spaces. The walls and floors, echoing with natural jade, exude a regal aura.
The central VISTA Square of the hotel is a grand stage for visual arts. The square's canopy breaks the record for the largest free-span grid shell glass roof, earning a Guinness World Record, with a precision diagonal grid steel structure. The surrounding LED screens, in sync with various themes, play videos and music, creating different atmospheres in the same space.
The indoor garden at VISTA Square is also quite special, with over 100,000 plants from Macau, mainland China, and 18 different countries, totaling more than 2,000 species, from common to rare, encompassing a wide variety, and the colorful plants bring a natural spirit indoors.
The 'A Bundle of Harmony' art space is currently exhibiting the 'Palace Sugar Sculpture Art Special Exhibition' by the Sugar King, Zhou Yi.
All of the above are free to view after entering MGM Macau. That's why I say, when you come to Macau, you must visit MGM to see its beauty, and don't miss out on Taipa and the Macau Peninsula, each with their own charm.
🥤By the way, you can drink milk tea for free in the casino, and the quality is excellent!
🍾Staying at MGM is also a fantastic experience, and I'm especially grateful to the MGM Golden Lion team for their care, creating an unforgettable stay. The mini-bar is well-stocked with drinks, and the room's 1812 wine is specially customized to celebrate MGM's opening date of December 18th. There's also the irresistible little lion plush toy.
🛁From the holiday rooms to the villa suites, each room's facilities are satisfying. The suites have sauna equipment, and the regular holiday rooms have large bathtubs, which are also a nice treat. The toiletries are MGM-customized with a bergamot citrus scent, fresh and refined. The evening turndown service includes a steam aromatherapy eye mask, and soft slippers and pajamas are prepared by the bed. This service makes me feel like a pampered princess.
The rooms are equipped with a smart control system, easily adjustable with a Pad, and you can also call the front desk through the pad, with charging cables and chargers delivered at any time.
🥞Don't rush breakfast, take your time to enjoy a hearty brunch at the 'Coast' restaurant. The restaurant plays relaxing music, and the waiters wear playful denim overalls. Fresh food and bright smiles all say to me: 'Today is going to be a great day!'
🚌 Prosperity Bus: From 10 am to 11 pm, every 15 minutes, you can take the bus to MGM Macau in the morning, passing by the Macau Tower, and MGM Macau is connected to One Central Square.

The Londoner Hotel Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
The Londoner Macao Accommodation Experience
This time staying at The Londoner Macao was a luxurious experience. Each room is a suite with a living room, a spacious bathroom with separate dry and wet areas, and a bedroom area. We had a twin-bed room type, but the extra-large single beds are also comfortable for two people. The quality of the beds, the comfort of the duvets and pillows are all very good, and there are even different types of pillows to choose from (upon request to room service).
The living room is equipped with an ultra-large HD TV and electric massage equipment, which really helped to relax our feet after a whole day of walking. The bathroom features a dry and wet separation, an automatic toilet, and a shower with a multifunctional three-in-one showerhead, and the space is super large! The bathtub is also very luxurious and elegant, with bath salts provided, and there's even a TV in the toilet so you won't get bored during a soak. The double vanity sink is both luxurious and convenient.
Here comes the highlight! The mini bar in the room is all free to use! Whether it's drinks, alcohol, coffee, snacks, instant noodles, etc... all are free to use. It's great to spend the whole day in the room enjoying the amenities, as the room also offers 24-hour dining service. Although the price of this room is not low, it is very worthwhile to experience and enjoy life for a night.
The Ultimate Macau Budget Travel Guide - Andaz Macau Hotel
Change your approach and travel to Macau on a budget·China. Saving money feels great, and it's even better to keep saving~~
1. Accommodation Strategy
The hotels in Taipa generally have good quality, covering accommodation, casinos, and shopping centers. Andaz Macau Hotel, as it doesn't have a casino downstairs, is noticeably cheaper than other hotels of the same level, but the service and facilities are very good. They arrange birthday cakes, small tents, and gifts for kids, and you can take away everything from the minibar, which is very touching in terms of value for money
2. Sightseeing Strategy
Taipa: The main area for entertainment venues in Macau, where you can check in for photos and get snacks, a one-stop solution for all needs. More importantly, the hotels are very close to each other, with citywalk as the first choice~~
The Galaxy Macau Hotel's Grand Resort Deck and the Galaxy Kidz EDUTAINMENT CENTER are highly recommended, with free access for hotel guests.
The Parisian Macau's Eiffel Tower doesn't offer much value for the ticket price, it's better to take photos from a distance. Their ice cream has a 5-minute queue and tastes amazing;
The Londoner Macao's snacks haven't been tried, but the Big Ben and the sightseeing bus are very distinctive for photos, not to be missed;
The Wynn Palace's SkyCab operates free of charge from 16:00, with about a 15-minute queue on the first floor, offering a free tour to see the musical fountain;
Macau Peninsula: The old town area, unlike the glittering Taipa (full of casinos), the old town is where the real life is, relatively worn down, choosing a popular eatery won't go wrong~~
The A-Ma Temple's 8 MOP light rail is worth a try, with unique front and rear cars, different from the mainland, each carriage is enclosed, and you can enjoy the view of the Grand Lisboa at night from both ends;
The Ruins of St. Paul's, well, it's a regret not to visit, but also a regret after visiting, a standard tourist checkpoint;
3. Snack and Souvenir Strategy
Rua do Cunha, the popular snack street, is worth wandering around, with good egg tarts, beef offal, and ice cream, all worth a try~~
4. Transportation Strategy
There are free shuttle buses between the main entertainment venues, the light rail is widely distributed, and city transportation is convenient. Given that Macau is not big, walking is also an option. Be cautious with taxis, it cost 80 RMB for a 3KM ride from the bank to Hengqin, that's practically robbery~~
Saving money feels great, and it's even better to keep saving. A proper Macau trip on a budget is also an attitude towards life.

Grand Lisboa Palace Macau Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Macau's one-stop family resort makes traveling with kids a breeze
🇲🇴My fondness for Macau is evident from the multiple visits I've made over the past year.
Even my baby has been here several times.
Once again, I embarked on a global journey with my baby, and the first stop we chose was still here.
✨Since it's a family trip, we opted for the Macau Grand Lisboa Resort, a one-stop resort that's perfect for family vacations. Everything you need for dining, entertainment, and leisure is right here, making it easy to stroll around with the little ones!
🦆This year marks the 90th anniversary of Donald Duck, and the Grand Lisboa recently showcased classic Donald Duck figures in the Greenery Garden, hotel lobby, and the atrium of the 1F shopping center. You can take photos with the classic Donald Duck figures with your kids, reliving the Disney dream of the little whale.
🏙️Hotel features:
The Macau Grand Lisboa Resort has invited several Macau artists to create a series of artistic masterpieces specifically for the resort. The entire resort is like a huge art center, and for someone like me who studies art, I can't get enough wherever I go.
🛌The rooms are also in the modern Chinese style that I like, exuding a modern and chic atmosphere. Cleverly blending Chinese and Western artistic charm, the style is fashionable and elegant, with Macau-style artistic decorations mixed with natural solid wood, porcelain, lacquer, and brass to form a unique style, delicately integrating ancient and modern, Eastern and Western cultures.
🍽️Worthy of mention is the Grand Lisboa's buffet restaurant, inspired by an Asian food market, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets.
The dinner buffet is truly YYDS (an internet slang term meaning 'eternally godlike')~
For seafood lovers, the unlimited order-and-cook seafood🦞is so attractive!
🦞The seafood market offers freshly cooked seafood, including Boston lobster, abalone, clams, shrimp, crab, fish, etc., cooked on-site by chefs to ensure freshness. There are various cooking methods to suit the tastes of both adults and children.
🚘Apart from the facilities inside the Grand Lisboa Resort, there are many family-friendly facilities nearby, including free cable car rides and fountain shows. It's close to the airport, and there's a free shuttle bus, making transportation very convenient.
💰Average cost per person: 600-1000+
👀Hygiene: Excellent
👂Soundproofing: Very good
Free and no need to queue! The strategy for checking in at the new landmark of Macau
📷Photo Spot Strategy:
✅Greenery Garden
1️⃣First, go to the Roman corridor outside the self-service mountain to capture a sense of depth, using the fountain and castle as a background for a blockbuster shot~
2️⃣Head to the maze next to the dome, where you'll feel like a fairy accidentally wandering into the back garden.
3️⃣Go to the middle of the garden and walk up the stairs, shoot from above to capture the entire garden.
I've told you all the popular spots, just follow my lead for great photos~
I personally recommend shooting at night when the lights are on, it looks like a golden castle, very photogenic.
✅East Wing Hotel Lobby
Every corner is an art treasure, paired with marble floors, it's suggested to use a wide-angle for photography to capture a sense of fashion and grandeur!
✅Outdoor Swimming Pool
The Grand Lisboa has two swimming pools, besides the constant temperature indoor pool, it's recommended to try the European-style outdoor pool on a good weather day, for a full vacation vibe~
✅Palace of Versailles
Available only until mid-October, the palace is recreated using projection technology, with many fun and interesting interactive installations and VR experiences, making you feel like you're in the Palace of Versailles over 9000 kilometers away~
🍔Food Recommendations:
🔻Taste: A Portuguese restaurant with a sense of ceremony, the interior design is personally crafted by the owner, inspired by Chinese bird cages, and the starry sky canopy in the main dining area🌌 is also very romantic. Here you can taste modern Portuguese cuisine, and it's also recommended to try the Back Garden Cocktail🍸, not only great for checking in but also on my list of must-visit private collections.
🔻Imperial Garden:
The pairing also fully reflects the chef's delicate thoughts, and it's mainly Taishi cuisine, which is really uncommon~
📍Location:
Grand Lisboa Macau Integrated Resort
🚌Transportation:
There are free shuttle buses to the hotel from the Border Gate, Hengqin Port, Cotai Old City, and the airport.
Before you leave Macau, I suggest visiting these places that are free of charge!!
During my two-day and one-night stay in Macau,
I experienced the luxurious glitz and glamour here,
but also saw the ordinary hustle and bustle of life.
Today, I want to recommend a few free photo spots for everyone.
Make sure to take note~
🔶【Ruins of St. Paul's】:
A must-visit landmark in Macau, there are many delicacies nearby, such as egg tarts and beef offal, and the fridge magnets here are also very pretty, you can take a few home if you like.
🔶【Rua da Guia】:
During the day, you can capture a lot of deep and strong street views along this street, be sure to use a telephoto lens to snap a National Geographic-style photo spot!
🔶【Guia Hill Viewing Platform】:
Take the bus to Ocean Gardens Station, walk 700 meters to Guia Hill, no need to climb, there is an elevator directly to the mid-level viewing platform, where you can enjoy the view of Grand Lisboa, and this spot is definitely a hit on social media.
🔶【Rua do Cunha】:
Portuguese-style painted walls and streets, very photogenic, and there are also a lot of delicacies nearby!
🔶【The Londoner】:
European architecture and the Eiffel Tower are here, no need to go abroad to get the same European blockbuster feel.
🔶【Grand Lisboa】:
There is a sky garden on the third floor of the hotel, which is open for free, and the Baroque green plant maze is very photogenic.
Macau Reverse Travel 1-Day Route
Hello everyone! I'm Little Fat Duck!
Departing from Shenzhen, weekend outing! This time I came to Macau!
After checking a lot of travel guides, I originally planned to take the Gongbei Port 1-day route, and stayed in Zhuhai the night before to check out the port. I found that there were a lot of people and cars, and I was worried that it would be too congested when I came back the next night😱. So we changed our plan temporarily and smoothly passed the Hengqin Port!
🗺️Route:
Hengqin Port→Take a car to Venetian→Londoner→Parisian→MGM Macau→Take a car to MGM Golden Temple→Grand Lisboa→Rua do Guia (National Geographic version)→Ruins of St. Paul→Mingji Beef Offal Food→Nam Van Lake Square (watch the sunset)→Wynn Macau Hotel→Take a car to Wynn Palace→Studio City Macau→Take a taxi to Hengqin Port (cost 33)
⚠️Bus strategy
❗Be flexible: Other guides say that you need to take a bus from Taipa to Macau Peninsula to start playing at Grand Lisboa, but in fact, you can take MGM and Wynn to get there, and the drop-off point is not far from Grand Lisboa~ You can take whichever bus comes, saving waiting time~
❗Departure time: The earliest at Hengqin Port is the Venetian 8:55 shift; the latest is Studio City 19:45, try to catch up, taxis sometimes don't stop when you wave~
❗Boarding location: One is that the map navigation can search it out, but some underground will be dizzy, the second is that there are boarding signs at the entertainment venues. The third is to ask the staff~
🌆Attractions introduction:
1️⃣Venetian, Londoner, Parisian
The interior decoration of the Venetian is more distinctive, and the other two look better outdoors! It's nice to take pictures of the Londoner in the Venetian, and the Parisian in the Londoner (haha nesting). It's nice to take pictures in the morning when there are fewer people, and it's more suitable for night scenes at night.
2️⃣MGM Macau
Mainly to drink milk tea and take a car, the pearls in the milk tea are delicious!
3️⃣Grand Lisboa
Check in the same location, there are many eye-opening collections inside the Grand Lisboa, it is recommended to take a look!
4️⃣Rua do Guia
The navigation route from Grand Lisboa is a street next door with an elevator!! No need to climb the slope! In addition to the National Geographic version, other alleys are also very distinctive! U-shaped street, very three-dimensional!
5️⃣Ruins of St. Paul
There are a lot of people, there are historical introductions nearby to understand the history of ancient buildings. There are many shops selling beef jerky on this street, and some actively give you a taste~
6️⃣Mingji Beef Offal Food
A small stall that opens at 5 o'clock, with price points of 50 and 100, it seems to be braised with spicy coffee, delicious and distinctive!
7️⃣Nam Van Lake Square
There is a lake view here, very open, you can watch the sunset and the Macau Tower on the opposite side!
8️⃣Wynn Macau
Small music fountain performance, there will be fire spraying in the middle. We missed the Fortune Tree performance and didn't see it!
9️⃣Wynn Palace
Free cable car and music fountain performance
🔟Studio City Macau
🎈Summary:
1 day tour is not enough!!!

Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel
🍃 Macau is really cheap now, especially hotels. In the past, hotels in Macau usually cost at least several thousand a night, but the Sheraton Hotel in Macau where I stayed 🛌 this time is less than 400, and you can see the Eiffel Tower 🗼 outside, which is particularly cost-effective .

🏩The hotel has a superb view of the Parisian and Venetian, you can see the Eiffel Tower 🗼 in the room, especially the sunset is romantic.
🏩The hotel is very close to the Teamlab exhibition, don't miss it if you like it.
🏩From the hotel to the Ruins of St. Paul, ⊙Macau Tower and other attractions are about 70 Macau dollars.
🏩Less than 400 does not include breakfast, you can bring your own breakfast snacks or enjoy breakfast in the food court in the hotel lobby.
Club Lounge, Sheraton Grand Macao
#wheretogo The Sheraton Club Lounge at the Sheraton Grand Macau is an absolute gem, and it's a pleasure to share my experience. This cozy haven is a true hidden treasure, a place where I could easily spend an entire day.
One of the standout features of the lounge is the amazing food selection. The variety and quality of the offerings are exceptional. It's like embarking on a culinary journey with an international flair. Whether you're in the mood for Chinese delicacies or international cuisine, the lounge has it all. The flavors are not just diverse but also incredibly delicious, leaving a lasting impression.
What sets this club lounge apart is its inviting and snug ambiance. The cozy atmosphere makes it feel like a home away from home. Whether you're looking to relax with a book or simply enjoy the view, you'll find this space to be incredibly comfortable and inviting.
The lounge's size is impressive; in fact, it's one of the most extensive club lounges I've had the pleasure of visiting. The numerous dining tables ensure that there's always a place to sit, and the spacious layout allows for privacy while you enjoy your meal.
In summary, the Sheraton Club Lounge at Sheraton Grand Macau is a culinary delight with a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. The international food options are delectable, and the lounge itself offers ample space and comfort. I can't recommend it enough for a relaxing and satisfying experience.

I went to Okura hotel by taxi with my friends. when we arrived to the hotel, 1 bell boy came out to escort us inside to the hotel. I was checking in, the FOA was nice and she asked me some questions with a cheerful smile such as 1) how are you today? 2) first time staying in our hotel? 3) do you have any celebrations during your stay? All these questions make me feel so caring and welcoming. The housekeeping staffs greet us on our way to the room, we felt like we were VVIP 🤣🤣 I’m motivated to be there returning guests🥰🥰

Been here in Macau for almost 2 years and I believe this is the first staycation that I had enjoyed a lot. Requested for early check in and check out and it was granted eventhough the hotel is quite busy. They will find ways to sort things out for their guests. Moreover, the grand resort is so near to the hotel compared to the other hotels nearby. Definitely will choose this hotel again if given a chance. 😍😍😍
