In the bustling city of Changchun, there's a courtyard homestay where one can become a spiritual recluse. Living in the city for a long time, one inevitably yearns for a brief period of seclusion amidst the noise. This is not about passive escape, but about actively seeking solitude with caution. HUAIXIAN is just such a place. Although it is located in the busy Guilin Road, stepping out the door, you find yourself on a street full of coffee bars and pubs. Yet, it's a tranquil and healing sanctuary that allows one to find true inner peace. To seek seclusion is to be in this world, to feel amidst the bits and pieces of everyday life. The homestay has a spacious and comfortable guest room, a small courtyard, and my favorite, a private study. The design and color scheme are understated and restrained, yet warm. In such a space, the slow pace of life unfolds. Recently, replacing checking my phone with wearing a watch again has become a small ritual for me to face time directly.
