There are several dynasties in China's history that respect Buddhism and build many statues of grottoes. The more famous ones are the Four Grottoes, namely Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, Gansu, Longmen Grottoes in Luoyang, Henan, Yungang Grottoes in Datong, Shanxi, and Tianshui in Gansu. The Maiji Mountain Grottoes, Mogao Grottoes, is the world's first world cultural heritage in the selection of grottoes. Several caves above have a long history and were built around 1600-1700 years ago. There is also a well-known grotto in Chongqing, which is built later and has a more beautiful shape. It has become a national 5A tourist attraction. Chongqing Dazu Rock Carvings, containing about 75 grottoes, more than 50,000 Buddha statues, representing the highest level of world grotto art in the 9th-13th centuries. The Dazu Rock Carvings began in the early Tang Dynasty in the 7th century and reached its peak in the Song Dynasty. The Dazu Rock Carvings were listed in the World Cultural Heritage in 1999. Dazu County in the Tang Dynasty, belonging to Changzhou. In 885, the state capital of Changzhou moved to Dazu County, which also led to the development of all aspects of Dazu. The Dazu Rock Carvings were completed from this time until nearly 1400 AD in 1279. The Dazu Rock Carvings are distributed on five hills in Beishan, Baodingshan, Nanshan, Shiqishan and Shimenshan.
