On a rainy day, its ethereal beauty emerges through the veil of clouds, with temples appearing and disappearing like apparitions. 🏔️ To reach this celestial sanctuary, a one and a half hour bus ride from Baoguo temple transports you to Leidongping, followed by an invigorating hour and a half uphill walk or a convenient cable car ascent. Opting for the walk, I relished every step, surrounded by serenity and tranquility. As I ascended, the air grew colder, demanding preparation for the summit. 🌄 The Golden Temple itself, adorned in resplendent gold, exudes a breathtaking radiance that beholds the beholder. For the intrepid, staying in one of the mini monasteries adds an adventurous touch. Alternatively, the top houses a selection of hotels, allowing the fortunate to witness awe-inspiring sunsets and sunrises. This sacred mountain attracts devotees and pilgrims from across China, seeking spiritual solace.
