Pengjian Shuixiang Jinao Bridge

Jinao Bridge, also known as Yulian Bridge, is located at Dadi Street, Genxiaozu, Fengjian Village, Xingtang Town, Shunde District, Foshan City. It was built by Liu Yunhan, a successful candidate in the imperial examinations in the 36th year of Kangxi's reign (1697). It was repaired in the 10th year of the Republic of China (1921). The bridge is a single-hole stone arch bridge, running north to south, spanning the Dingzi Bridge Yong. The bridge is 14 meters long, 3.05 meters wide, and 3.50 meters high, with a span of 6.9 meters. The bridge piers are made of red sandstone, and the arch is constructed using horizontal joint masonry with red sandstone, while the bridge deck is paved with white sedimentary rock. There are thirteen stone steps on each side of the bridge. On one side of the bridge railing, 'Jinao' is engraved in positive relief, and on the other side, 'Yulian' is engraved, along with the negative relief inscription 'Repaired in the winter of the tenth year of the Republic of China, Xin You'. The bridge is one of the well-preserved early Qing Dynasty bridges in Shunde. On October 25, 2006, it was announced as a Foshan Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit.
