36th Street is like the soul of Hanoi and is its most famous commercial street. The origins of 36th street is quite interesting. In ancient times, Hanoi County was an administrative area centred on 36th Street. Each street sold the same category of goods, such as meat dumplings, palace flours, and ready-made clothes. Even coffins were sold on the street.
