The elegant Jianshui Zhu Family Garden

The Jianshui Zhu Family Garden, a residence and ancestral hall built by the Zhu brothers, local gentry of the late Qing Dynasty, covers more than 20,000 square meters. It is said to have been built according to the layout of the Grand View Garden in 'Dream of the Red Chamber'. The interior is dazzling, with four core rooms named after chrysanthemums, plums, bamboo, and orchids. The steep ridges and flying eaves, carved beams and painted buildings, scriptures, paintings, poetry, calligraphy, and Zhu family teachings are all embedded in it. It is both luxurious and elegant, and does not lose the scholarly elegance. Appearing in the small town of Jianshui, it can indeed be called a wonder.
