Zen Buddhist temple in Kyoto

#japantrip Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion) is a Zen Buddhist temple in northern Kyoto, Japan. It is one of the most popular attractions in Kyoto as the top two floors of the Golden Pavilion are completely covered in gold leaf. Kinkakuji is a structure built overlooking a large pond. Visitors are not allowed to enter into the Pavilion. Beside the Golven Pavilion, there are other attractions in the same area such as Kuri, Ashiharajima, Hojo, Gingasen, Ryumontaki and others.
