Gaolan Mountain is located in the south of Lanzhou city, with an altitude of 2129.6 meters, it is the natural barrier and the highest peak of Lanzhou area. In ancient times, this was a barren mountain. However, later, the people of Lanzhou went up the mountain to plant trees, and through unremitting efforts, they successfully turned this mountain into a lush and colorful artificial mountain forest. Lanzhan Park is located on the top of Gaolan Mountain, from where you can overlook the entire panorama of Lanzhou. The park is arranged along the ridge, connected by roads, starting from Pipa Ridge of Wushan Mountain, extending to Santai Pavilion, covering an area of 5200 mu. The pavilions on the mountain are well-arranged, with red pillars and green tiles, complementing each other, forming a beautiful scenery, which is an ideal place for people to relax and enjoy the scenery. The Santai Pavilion in the park is the barrier of the southern part of Lanzhou city, the building is up to three stories high, and there is a pavilion on the top, which is majestic. Standing here, you can overlook the entire city, with the Yellow River winding through the city, in full view. In the evening, the distant mountains are shrouded in clouds and mist, and the city is lit up with thousands of lights, presenting a spectacular scene. The park has winding paths, and the amusement city is equipped with a full set of entertainment projects, such as small racing cars, Bagua array, maze, color palace, magic cave and other facilities, which make people linger. Near the park, there are also human activity sites from more than 4000 years ago, military defense platforms from the Qing Dynasty, and the battlefield of Yingpanling in the liberation of Lanzhou and other cultural relics and historical sites. Route reference: To travel to Lanzhan Park, you can take a direct bus, or you can take a cable car at the east gate of Wushan Park. The fare is 40 for going up and 30 for going down. The cable car, which can seat 2 people, starts from the east side of Wushan Mountain and ends at the west side of Santai Pavilion. The single journey takes about 10 minutes. Those who climb the mountain on foot can go up the steps by the side of the cableway, although the road is steep and winding, it is short and direct; or you can go up the steps on the west side of Northwest University, pass through the forest belt, step out of Fulongping, enter the mountain gate, and then walk along the road.
