Tibet｜The difficult-to-reach town of Chawalong in the Nujiang Grand Canyon

🚗 Yunnan-Tibet New Passage: This 'Tibet' includes Chayu County but the main area is in the main area of Tibet (just as the Sichuan-Tibet Highway does not refer to eastern Tibet). The core route is the Bingcha Ran Highway, which goes from Dali, Yunnan to Gongshan County to Chayu County, Tibet to Bomi County Ranwu Town, where it connects with the southern line of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway, namely National Highway 318. It starts from Dali City, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, along the Dali-Baoshan Dabao Expressway to Jinchangling, via Yunlong, Lushui, Fugong, Gongshan, and ends in Chayu County, with a total length of 786 kilometers (263 kilometers in Tibet), and is open to traffic. Among them, the section of this channel located in Yunnan is 551 kilometers, and the section in Tibet is 235 kilometers. 🚗Today, coming from Chayu County to the nearly 30 kilometers behind is basically along the Nujiang River, and you can see the Nujiang Grand Canyon all the way. But I think the section of the road that just turned to the edge of the Nujiang Grand Canyon looks more spectacular, and the mountains on both sides are also higher. When you get to the county town, although you can still see it, it doesn't feel as visually impactful. However, it is quite dangerous to stop on the road, but you can look around freely in the county town.
