Mercure hotel is ideally situated as an in between layover point if you're either bound for outer islands or towns in Fiji. The locality isn't close to a public beach but is steps away from main public transportation networks, supermarkets, cinema, clinic, restaurants, bars etc. Most notably the area is known for its bar and night life scene so precaution must be taken when wondering about during later hours. Mercure hotel itself is one of the primary coach pickup points for all island day trip excursions departing Port Denarau. The standard room rate was decent with the facilities offered compared to other properties. The room although equipped with basics, had no air conditioning control, no disposable toothbrush and sliding patio door that had locking issues. Hotel grounds on the other hand was clean and didn't have any issues with the front office. Would recommend for layover stays only.#fiji #accorhotels #tripblazers #urbanexplorer #mercure
