Puzhehei Scenic Area

The Puzhehei Scenic Area is located in Qiubei County, Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province. In 2004, the Puzhehei Scenic Area was named a national scenic spot by the State Council of the People's Republic of China, and in December 2020, it was named a national 5A-level tourist attraction by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The village of Puzhehei was named for two reasons: first, because it was the filming location for the popular variety show 'Where Are We Going, Dad?', and second, because the village is located by the Puzhehei Lake, hence its name which means 'sitting by the water'. Moreover, with the rapid development of tourism in recent years, the infrastructure of Puzhehei Village has been increasingly perfected, and it has also been awarded the title of National Ecological Cultural Village. Puzhehei Village is famous for its picturesque pastoral landscapes and is known as a land of fish and rice. It is one of the core attractions of the Puzhehei Scenic Area, a well-preserved ancient Yi ethnic village. The ancient architecture and stone paths of Puzhehei Village are also highlights, making you feel as if you have traveled back to the ancient Yi society. The Xianrendong Yi Ethnic Ecological Village retains traditional Yi architecture and culture, where visitors can tour local residences, taste delicious food, and experience traditional culture. Here, one can admire the wonderful stone curtains and stone waterfall landscapes, and feel the magic and beauty of nature. When touring the scenic area, only in Puzhehei Village and Xianrendong Village can you have a full meal, as other spots only have restaurants offering set meals, with only cafes and snack bars available. ⏳Touring Time: Tickets are required for sightseeing cars and boats within the scenic area, and the Swan Lake attraction charges an admission fee. The recommended touring time is 1 to 2 days.
