The Shanghai Botanical Garden International Flower Exhibition opened on April 18, 2024, and will last until May 22. The entrances and exits are located at Gates 1, 3, and 4. No matter which gate you enter the botanical garden from, it does not affect the visit, and the azaleas, bougainvillea, flowering tobacco, and other flowers on both sides are very beautiful. 🌟 Highlights: The main sightseeing routes in the South Garden (the Yellow Stone Mountain at Gate 1, the triangular green space north of the Plant Building, the entrance at Gate 3), and the key areas of the main sightseeing routes in the North Garden (the lawn at the entrance of Gate 4, the large lawn terrace area in the North Zone) are all decorated with commemorative spots for the 50th anniversary of the garden's establishment. On Magnolia Boulevard (from Gate 1 to the Plant Building), the Orchid Room, and the Exhibition Greenhouse, with the theme 'A Path of Fragrance', the exhibition showcases the three characteristic flowers of Rhododendron, Camellia, and Orchid, as well as the innovative research achievements of the botanical garden. The temporary exhibition hall on the first floor of the Plant Building and some spaces on the first and second floors of the East Building will host a special exhibition for the 50th anniversary of the garden's establishment, displaying the garden's collection of literature, photos, specimens, and various types of physical archives, telling the story of the garden's construction. 👍 Most Recommended: Apart from the Bonsai Garden and the Greenhouse, which require an additional fee, the botanical garden is free to visit. In my opinion, the most photogenic check-in spots currently are: the Peony Garden, the Azalea Garden, the large azalea bonsai in front of the Bonsai Garden, the Cedar Forest, Yellow Stone Mountain, etc. The rose theme in the North Zone has few flowers blooming now, with the peak blooming period expected in May. Overall, the Shanghai Botanical Garden is the ceiling of flower exhibitions, and with free admission, it offers great value for money.
