Immersed in Mount Wutai, I perceive the beauty of the soul

Upon arriving at the pure land of Mount Wutai, with three sticks of incense burning, I wish that all desires are fulfilled, and all thoughts come true. ❄️When I came to Mount Wutai, the foremost of the four sacred Buddhist mountains of China, from Beijing, it wasn't long before the sky started to flutter with snowflakes. The average summer temperature is 13.7°C, and the average winter temperature is -10.7°C, which is a stark contrast to the weather in Beijing, hence it is also known as the Cool Mountain. ⛰️The highest peak, North Terrace Ye Dou Peak, has an elevation of 3058 meters and is known as the 'Roof of North China,' with an average elevation of over 1000 meters. 🙃The White Pagoda of Tayuan Temple is currently under renovation, and not seeing the White Pagoda feels like something is missing. 🌅Watching the sunrise from the East Terrace should also be on the travel list. The Guanghua Temple originally had a night view, but it is temporarily closed due to special circumstances. Mount Wutai is the bodhimanda of Manjushri and is the only Buddhist sanctuary in China where temples of the Gelug (Yellow) and Sakya (Blue) schools of Tibetan Buddhism shine together. Especially the Wuye Temple, which is very popular. There are 47 temples within the scenic area, but not all are open to the public. The scenic area is quite large, and it takes at least two days to visit properly. When I went, it was the off-season, so there was no need to queue for worship. However, during the peak season, it is extremely crowded and queuing is necessary. The only vegetarian Dicos in the country, with high-end solid wood decoration, is worth a try. ⛰️A must-visit spot in Mount Wutai is to climb to the top of Dai Liao, which has a total of 1080 steps. Climbing in the snow is really tough, but once you reach the top, you can have a panoramic view of Mount Wutai, or you can take the cable car (one-way 50, round-trip 85). ❗❗❗Be sure to book a parking spot and tickets through the mini-program when you come. There are many homestays and restaurants around, including chain hotels and high-end hotels. Many homestays have restaurants on the ground floor with accommodations above, and the food is made by the locals themselves. 🎫Ticket price: Peak season full ticket 168 yuan per person, off-season 140 yuan per person (there are also half-price tickets, and free admission for certain groups, see the scenic area policy for details).
