The first wonder gorge of China

Red Stone Gorge is the highlight of Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area in Jiaozuo, Henan. It is a scenic area that combines springs, waterfalls, streams, and pools in one valley. As of April 28, 2023, it is 2000 meters long and the gorge is hidden 68 meters underground. It is known as the first wonder gorge of China and a premium corridor of nature's landscape. According to geological experts, 1.2 billion years ago, this place was a beach. With the rise and fall of the sea level at that time and the multiple orogenies of the earth's crust, the sea turned into mountains. Red Stone Gorge is a fault zone formed by orogenic movements, composed of purplish-red sandstone. The scenic area is vast outside and secluded inside, with hidden wonders. The cliffs and rocks on both sides are beautiful, like a huge bonsai carved by supernatural craftsmanship. The valley is full of geological relics over a billion years old, which can be called a naturally formed 'geological wonder book'.
