2-Day, 2-Night Travelogue in Yingde

A 2-day, 2-night trip away from the crowds Self-drive from Shenzhen to Yingde, Guangdong for a leisurely trip. DAY1: Drive from Shenzhen after work → Jiulong River Head Bixiang Inn DAY2: Fenglin Xiaozhen → Dongtian Xianjing → Jiuchongtian Town → Aoyuan Hilton Yilin Hotel DAY3: Chocolate Kingdom Resort → Hongqi Tea Factory → Shenzhen Jiulong River Head Bixiang Inn P2, P3 After checking out the online reviews of nearby hotels and B&Bs, we chose this inn with a mountain view for over 200 a night. The hygiene and environment are really good, there are no mosquitoes on the mountain, and at night you can sit on the terrace and see the stars, in the morning you can hear the birds chirping. Next door is the Houtou Village Committee, super safe, but it's 3 kilometers from the village to the town, so you have to drive everywhere Where to go Bought the Guangdong Tourism Annual Pass, which includes many scenic spots and free attractions 1. Fenglin Xiaozhen P4 It's just a small park with lots of flowers and plants, rapeseed flowers, and a small lake with a few black swans (not a must-visit attraction, you can see similar scenery at nearby B&Bs and on the road, not recommended if you have to pay for a ticket ) 2. Dongtian Xianjing P5 The environment is cool and the air is good, it's nice to stroll around. We bought a one-way boat trip for 20 yuan per person, there were really few people traveling off-peak, just the two of us on a boat (chartered), with a guide accompanying us (super cost-effective, you can only know the features of the attractions with a guide, it's recommended to take the boat first, then walk out) 3. Jiuchongtian P6 We didn't plan to come here originally, but in the end, we didn't want to leave. The weather was good, and right at the entrance, there was a shouting fountain, where a water column meters high can produce a 🌈. Walking down to the forest below, there are a few hammocks, lying on them and looking at the forest, listening to the birds is super comfortable. The scenic area has rafting and caves (open in May for summer), the caves are quite large, inside are various shapes of quartz and stalactites (that day, besides us, there was no one else in the cave, quite eerie ) 4. Chocolate Kingdom Resort P7 The hotel is located in the Chocolate Kingdom Resort. We soaked in the karst hot springs at night (not recommended to buy separately, better to soak in the hotel bathtub). The hotel is very comfortable, after waking up in the morning, we strolled around the resort, didn't go to the chocolate park, just walked around the surrounding commercial street (not many shops open, sparsely populated), suitable for taking photos, you can wear a princess dress for photos 5. Hongqi Tea Factory P8 An old tea factory built in the fifties, renovated, no entrance fee, you can visit the tea-making process, drink milk tea, eat tea-flavored ice cream cones, sit and blow the breeze, drink milk tea made with Yingde black tea 6. Tea Fields P9 On the way to Yinghong Town, there are tea fields, and near the Hongqi Tea Factory, there are also patches of tea fields, so there is no need to go to a special tea garden As for food, we ate farm dishes, tofu, tofu pudding, which were especially delicious
