A little island along the Yangtze River

Zhangjiagang’s Shuangshan Island is one of the hidden gems of the city. It’s not far at all from the mainland as you’ll need to take a short ferry from the mainland to the island (about 10 minutes). Once on the island there are many things to see and do. First, I’d recommend you get a scooter to ride around, as the island is big and it's really fun to ride and explore. On the island, there are beautiful sceneries, an old town, restaurants and even a golf course! Definitely worth a day trip! #localguides #zhangjiagang #china #Shuangshanisland
