The Iconic Kumamoto Castle🏯🇯🇵
3 days tourist in Kumamoto 🏯🇯🇵✨⛰️
Sharing to you my experience visiting The Iconic Kumamoto Castle, great 400 year history of this place 🤩
As of 08-16-23 , some parts of the areas in the castle is still on renovation because of the 2016 earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 that sustained heavy damages.
Too many active volcanoes around Kumamoto like the largest active one Mt.Aso , reason why earthquake is often 4x in a month.
There is so much to see in this place , amazing nature everywhere ⛰️🏯

Kumamoto Castle
This is obviously the best castle in Japan. The castle tower is so huge that even all of Japanese are amazed by the size. Due to the terrible earthquake, the castle tower was destroyed in 2016, and it reopened several years ago. Although it is still under restoration, the view of the castle and cherry blossoms are so beautiful.
To get there, you must go to Kumamoto City, which is about 90 minutes from Tokyo by airplane.
But, of course, castle is the center of the city. Hence, everywhere you are , you can see the castle.

Suizenji Jojuen Garden Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
The view of the park depicting Edo period road is unique and extraordinary.
#suizenji Park is a japanese landscape garden in #kumamoto built by the Hosokawa family in the 17th century #japan.
The garden reproduces the 53 post stations of the Tokaido, the important road, which connected Edo with Kyoto during the Edo Period, in miniature form, including a small Mt. Fuji.

The ultimate Japanese scenery, Suizenji Jojuen Garden is full of surprises
After taking the tram from Kumamoto Station, you arrive at Suizenji Jojuen Garden.
Suizenji Jojuen Garden is a Japanese-style garden, but unlike the small and exquisite ones we're used to, its scenery can be admired from both far and near.
From a distance, you can see the garden's imitation of Mount Fuji and the lake view...
Up close, there are colorful koi, the water shrine, and the longevity water...
It's a highly enjoyable place where two hours can pass by without you noticing, and it's a great spot to take a leisurely stroll and clear your mind under the sun. The cherry blossoms should be even more beautiful now that they are in full bloom 😎
Fun Fact: The garden's design is inspired by Utagawa Hiroshige's ukiyo-e 'The Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido' ('The Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido' refers to the 53 post stations between Edo and Kyoto during the Edo period). The name 'Jojuen' comes from Tao Yuanming's 'Returning Home' which mentions 'the garden becomes more enchanting as one wanders through it.' It was first established by the first lord of the Kumamoto Domain, Hosokawa Tadatoshi, in 1636 with the construction of the 'Suizenji Tea House.' Later, during the time of Hosokawa Tsunatoshi, springs and artificial hills were added, and in 1776, the east side's horse grounds were completed, giving it the appearance it has today. The central Suizenji Fuji is the symbolic landmark of the garden. Every spring and autumn, horseback archery competitions are also held.
Beautifully landscaped Suizenji Jojuen Garden
Japan has many beautiful landscape gardens that are well maintained for visitors to take a relaxing stroll and bask in its serenity and beauty of the scenery.
Suizenji Jojuen garden is a garden in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, which is a stone's throw away from Kumamoto Castle and the city centre. It is also one of Japan's most beautiful tsukiyama gardens or hill gardens. This is because there are small rolling artificial hills landscaped in this garden.
One of the highlights of the garden is the mini version of Mount Fuji or Fuji Tsukiyama, which is the main artificial hill created to imitate the real deal. Of course, here is where you can get to view lush greenery. Pretty sure that the place is another sakura season spot too. There is also a freshwater lake fed by a natural spring.
Admission fee is required to enter the garden.

Hitoyoshi Station Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
The room is full of Japanese-style tatami, but the comfort is that one is a very original feeling and can fully feel the local culture.
The bedroom inside is a modern sofa and bed, so everyone will adapt. Open the window, the outside is the river view, very bright.
A simple stroll around the area to enjoy a big meal!
Once again, feel the VIP-like Japanese service: every time the restaurant service staff enters and exits the tatami, they must sit down at the door and open the door. After entering, they will sit down and drink and pull the door again. Take a salute.
We learned that we are far-away guests, greetings from the manager to the chef, and have to put down the chopsticks frequently, courtesy and sincerity.
ate a Grand Slam, the light pot was three rounds (hot pot tempura barbecue), as well as a variety of pickles and sashimi.
The most impressive thing is the muscle barbecue (similar to horse meat lava burning, invincible), and the salted fish, how to freely bone: pull out the fins, from the square side, gently pressed already baked The soft fish body separates the meat bones inside, then pinches the fish head and gently removes the spine, which can be easily enjoyed.
The name of the train comes from two species of kingfishers in Japan: "Jade" and "Mountain Jade".
The former is brightly colored like jade, perennial in the forests of Yatsushiro City and the ball mill village;
the latter is black and white wearing deer spots, living in the mountains of Renji.
Once, it was very difficult to go back and forth between the ball-milling river and the Renji Basin surrounded by mountains. Today, in order to commemorate the freely moving trains between the two places, the train is named after the two-color kingfisher. The
body also naturally has a gorgeous two-color compartment: green and blue echo.
The car has a lot of details, it is worthy of taste, the wine cabinet is full of local famous wine; and it is even more chic cone-shaped, with a small hole, without a finger block will leak. Means: will enter the wine, the cup does not stop, do not put down (will sprinkle); do not stop the cup (always pinched in the hand).
Arrive in the city of Kyrgyzstan in Kumamoto Prefecture, and there are many tourist attractions in the center of the station next to the station, as well as a map of the tour. This station appeared in the eighth quarter of the second season.
This stay at Renji Homestay Sen , there are four different styles of rooms, all very spacious. Thanks to the owner of the hotel to take us to several attractions, and start the cat teacher back to her family series. The
Qingshan bus stop appeared in the first quarter of the film. A friend's account was placed in the small station, which is a message book~
appeared in the seventh quarter of the first season. It is the only station in Japan with a special railway landscape such as a spiral and a zigzag. Legend has it that sticking a business card to the wall of the waiting room will make a head start, so there are many business cards on the wall.
In the Japanese Kyrgyzstan station is also the location of the Natsume friend account, the train from the people to Aso changed into a slightly faster train, I did not expect the interior is still amazed.
The iron train is not dirty, but it is a clean and tidy display, as well as a drink bar and a sofa~ Its not enough to describe my love for this train. All interiors in
are made of yellow wood, and the yellow background is covered with a blue seat. The contrast between cool and warm colors makes people feel very comfortable.
If you think the metal train is dirty, you must come here, it will change all your thoughts on the iron train.

Mount Aso Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Mount Aso
This is the place that I have always wanted to come, just 2 or 3 hours away from my city Fukuoka.
Unfortunately this time, the mountain was covered with lot of volcanic ash but still the air was so fresh on the top and the landscape was amazing.
If you ever have a chance to visit Kumamoto or Kyushu island, I would really recommend here. And say hi to the cute cows as well:)
the place very warming with a lots of greenery
Roaring Mount Aso kumamoto
#2024wish Peace always in Mount Aso! it was a pleasant trip to Mount Aso, the grand welcome from this volcanic crater no one should take it likely.
Winter has came
Breath taking scenery at Mount Aso. Mountains were covered with grass golden in color and some in white with frozen water droplets on the leaves. The pond was also frozen with a thin layer of ice. U can actually hear n see the ice crack when u walk on it ! If u are driving it’s relaxing and easy drive with stunning views along the way. There are also a few scenic stops along the way ! Overall a 5/5 must go attraction 👍🏻
