It is possible to visit Ayutthaya as a day trip from Bangkok, or stay for one night while travelling there. Now Ayutthaya is an ordinary provincial city but with a historic trump card in hand. Here stands a wealth of partially restored temples, ruins and Buddha statues from the abandoned royal city. We stumbled upon a possible day trip to Ayutthaya. It is located a few hours North of Bangkok. If you want know some serious Thai history, this place is for you. In 1991, the Ayutthaya Historical Park became a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Luckily, to go there, it is fairly quick and easy. Personally, Ayutthaya can be made in a day trip which what we did. We just rented a motorcycle upon arrival from the train station. But you could also choose to spend at least one night so will not rush between sights. #bangkoktrip

Getting There - To get to Ayutthaya, you can take a train from Hua Lamphong station in Bangkok and take about 1 hour to arrive. At Ayutthaya platform, countless tuk tuk cars are waiting for you, you can Visit Ayutthaya Park for about 500 Thai baht by tuk tuk. Attractions - Ayutthaya is a historical park consisting of many temples, a special attraction for visitors is the connection of ancient architecture built with bare red brick material, marking in many tourists' memories of an island. Uniquely surrounded by 4 rivers. This place has experienced 33 kings reign and has become a brilliant, prosperous capital and has good relations with neighboring countries in the East and the West in the past. However, in 1767 the Burmese army (former Myanmar) moved to invade, after many tough battles, defeat finally led to the end of the Thai kingdom here, the works in the park. Ayutthaya's history was burned and severely damaged by the Burmese army, losing a lot of precious historical architectures, the remnants of which formed Ayutthaya today. Go deep inside and explore Ayutthaya Historical Park you'll also see countless temples and spires next to ruined walls made of red bricks, countless Buddha statues with missing arms, legs or heads due to destruction. #mytripvlog

Food is great with nice river view. Must try! better to have finner there to enjoy the full view of the River snd its not too hit to sit outside.

If you’re interested in learning more about the history and culture of the Land of Smiles, one of the best places to visit in Thailand is the ancient Ayutthaya Historical Park. The ruins of this former kingdom are quite impressive and a lot of fun to explore. While it’s a doable day trip from Bangkok, you may want to stay a night or two to make sure you see all of the Ayutthaya temples. We went there at 8 o clock in the morning, and theres a lot of people already. Before going inside the park make sure that you wear an appropriate outfit, wearing shorts is a no no, but incase you are wearing one you can buy skirts or pants from the vendors outside the park.

The city, founded in 1350, was the capital city of Ayyuthaya antique empire.Dozens of Buddhist temples, statues and places are protected by UNESCO The location is around 90 km far from the Bangkok. Since transportation is only by bus from Bangkok, I preferred to come by taxi. about 20 dollars There are a lot of structure that you will admire, it is definitely one of the most important places in the world that you should see. However, it makes it very difficult to travel when the weather is quite hot. You can also experience feeding elephants near this area. Most people come to Thailand, to enjoy the beaches 🏝️, have amazing food, indulge in amazing nightlife, and take photos in front of beautiful temples but skipped this opportunity to do a day trip to AYUTTHAYA 🇹🇭‼️ It has all the ancient temples and wonders dating all the way back to the 13th century, with many different types of architecture, from Angkor Wat Hindu style to traditional Thai Buddhis style. It doesnt get as crowded as Angkor Wat, or the main temples in Bangkok but it is still a sight to behold. make sure you catch the sunset in one of the temples next to the night market as well! To get there, the easiest way is to join a tour. But its also possible to do tuktuks and they would show you around the amazing wonder! 💭 🇹🇭

#2024wish Well worth the visit. It is the ruins of the ancient times and only some of the parts are reconstructed. I would recommend you to prepare sun protection cream, umbrella, water and more. It is really sunny and hot. Note that you won't get any grab ride on ayutthaya area. So, I would recommend to get a grab rental from Bangkok.overall it awesome

Located about an hour’s drive from Bangkok, Ayutthaya is a UNESCO World Heritage site and it not difficult to see why. It is a beautiful historic ancient capital with architectural ruins, and a great place to see ancient temples. There was so much to see and explore - we had a wonderful time! Highly recommend to wear comfortable shoes as there will be quite a bit of walking. My rating of this attraction: 4.5 ⭐️ out of 5!

Exploring Ayutthaya Historical Park

There are many pagodas and Buddha statues in this historical park. Today all that is left are some ruins, but these are in great order and really give you a sense of what it used to be like. The actual ruins are at many different sites and they are all great, and worth a visit if you have a couple of days to spare. Interesting historical park, old capital of Thailand. It is a little bit far away from Bangkok. The Historic City of Ayutthaya, founded long time ago. You have to pay per monument which is around 50baht for foreigners, or you can get a multi ticket for 220baht for foreigners. For the Thai people it is much less.
