Baclayon Church
The Baclayon Church is located in Bohol, it is the second oldest stone church in the Philippines after San Agustin Church in Intramuros, Manila Constructed in 1595 by the Jesuit priests, it is still intact and houses important relics and images reminiscent of the historic Roman Catholic religion in the country. This is included in most Bohol tour packages but it is only a quick stop. This is a 300 year old structure however it was restored as it was heavily damaged a few years back (2013) due to a strong eathquake that took place in Bohol. The interior is such a surpise, it is elegantly designed with paintings on the ceiling. This is still an active church so be mindful when you enter.
