Himeji Castle

In one of the Japanese view, this castle is obviously the best castle in Japan. The white walls are so beautiful so that you can watch transparent from Himeji station. Himeji station is about an hour from Kobe station, 90 minutes from Osaka , 2 hours from Kyoto. If you go to Kyoto or Osaka , I highly recommend you to visit. Inside of the castle is a museum. Himeji Castle and its Gardens 🏯

My first castle visit to Himeji Castle during my trip in Japan. There were so many levels in the Castle which you can explore, all the while learning about its history such as it's past occupants/families. Throughout the castle levels (especially at the top), I got to take in the beautiful scenery overseeing the castle's surrounding architecture and its gardens (including the city). Even the entrance and path leading up to the Castle are lined by cherry blossom trees in bloom during the spring period we visited. But if you love greenery/nature the Koko-en garden beside Himeji castle is also a must go with tranquil rivers and a colourful scene painted by a large array of plants and flowers 💮 Tickets are needed for both the castle and garden but can be purchased as a bundle. Just a word of caution, the steps as you traverse the Castle are quite steep and small so be careful as you try to climb them. #himeji #castle #history #garden #spring

Easy day trip from Kyoto or Osaka by JR line. 🌸 Castle is visible from the train station and a straight 10-15 min walk up to the park grounds. 🌸 Beautiful Sakura everywhere (peak bloom time) made the castle even more beautiful. Admission was 1000 yen for adult and 300 for student. 🌸West garden inside offered great views of the castle with cherry blossoms all around. Need to remove shoes to visit interior areas so be sure to wear good socks (they provided plastic bags to carry shoes). 🌸West turrets and hallway worth visiting with stories of princess. Main castle was a short climb up but got very crowded mid day. Still an amazing experience! Would allocate a few hours to truly explore this amazing castle.🏰 💎

Around the Old Town area with more than 1,000 cherry blossoms🌸🌸, the Old Town's vibrant pink and the Old Town's elegant whites look spectacular. Before going to Kobe, I was torn for a long time, should I go by myself or with a group? There are two tour routes for a day trip, one is to go to the outlets, and the other is to go to the Ferris wheel, Kobe Port, until one day, I saw a route to Himeji Castle, I felt this is the route I want! 🌟Highlight features: This day tour picks up people at 9:30, which is very suitable as my first day itinerary! 🗓Itinerary: 1, Himeji Castle 11:00-13:50 2, Free lunch 3, Arima Onsen Stroll 15:00-16:30 4, Mount Rokko View Kobe Night View We took the 17:00 cable car up the mountain. The cable car journey is about 11-12 minutes, and we took the 17:40 cable car down the mountain when we came down. 🍲Dish recommendation: Himeji Castle and the nearby Koko-en Garden have joint tickets, highly recommended to buy! After visiting Himeji Castle, go to Koko-en Garden, there is a shop called Huoshuixuan, authentic Kobe beef set meal, per capita over 100! 👎Least recommended: Watching the night view on Mount Rokko in winter is really cold, a day trip is to take a small train up the mountain, stay for 25 minutes and then take the car down the mountain, the time is too short, so it's only enough to blow the wind on it, can't stroll on the mountain.
