Lingfeng Plum Blossom Viewing, one of the best places to appreciate plum blossoms in Hangzhou!
Lingfeng Plum Blossom Viewing is located to the west of West Lake, at the foot of Lingfeng Mountain in Qingzhiwu. Lingfeng Temple was built during the Kaiyun period of the Later Jin Dynasty. There are Cuivei Pavilion, Mianyun Hall, Miaogao Terrace, Washing Bowl Pool, etc. In the early Wanli period, the temple was ruined and the monks scattered, leaving only the temple buildings. During the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, Lianxi, the commander of Zhejiang Province, rebuilt Lingfeng Temple and planted more than a hundred plum trees around it. In the first year of Xuantong, Zhou Mengpo planted another 300 plum trees, making it a good place to appreciate plum blossoms, hence the name "Lingfeng Plum Blossom Viewing".
The Hangzhou Botanical Garden has always been a classic place to appreciate plum blossoms! There are more than 40 different varieties of wax plums in the garden, a total of more than 1,200 trees, most of which are concentrated around the Lingfeng Scenic Area. The Wax Plum Garden, Longyue Tower, and the entrance to Lingfeng are the three most densely planted areas, and there are also a few scattered plantings in other areas of the garden.
Location: No. 1 Taoyuanling, West Lake District, Botanical Garden (Enter from the Qingzhiwu ticket check point, and you can reach the Plum Garden in about 5 minutes on foot) There is a short mountain road to Lingfeng Plum Blossom Viewing, and it takes about 10 minutes to climb. Ticket: 15 yuan

Where to go for plum blossom viewing in Hangzhou in 2024? Come to 'Lingfeng Plum Exploration'
Plum blossom, as the first of China's top ten famous flowers, in Chinese traditional culture, plum blossom has the title of 'one of the four gentlemen' and 'one of the three friends of the cold year'!
In the severe cold, the plum blossoms first among all flowers, alone in the world and spring, whether it is a plum tree or a potted plant, it is a picturesque plum scene that fascinates people!
In Hangzhou, you can go to Chaoshan Scenic Area, Hangzhou Botanical Garden, Taiziwan Park, Guozhuang, Qianwang Temple, Gushan, Xixi Wetland, Hupao Park, Wansong Academy, Agate Temple, Lingyin Temple and other areas to watch!
Among them, Uncle Crickets in Hangzhou Botanical Garden is most recommended, because the plum blossoms here are very particular, and they are 'gradually getting better'!
The plum blossom viewing area of Hangzhou Botanical Garden is 'Lingfeng Plum Exploration', which is a reintroduction of more than 5,000 plum blossoms in the spring of 1988. There are many varieties such as wax plum, red plum, white plum, and green calyx plum, as well as many plum blossom knowledge and introductions!
Walking among them, the budding plum blossoms make people feel the magic of nature. In the cold winter when all flowers are withered, only plum blossoms are still blooming in the snowy winter!
Entering the 'Plum Garden', it is even more quiet, those strong plum branches, noble plum blossoms, and the faint fragrance in the air, make people happy as soon as they come in!
Because it just opened, there are very few tourists now, and there are only a few people floating sporadically. With the continuous 'gradual improvement' of the flowers, I believe it will not be long before a lively scene will be presented!
If you want to come and visit, you can take Line 3/Line 10 to 'Huanglong Sports Center' and walk to the Qingzhiwu entrance, or you can take Bus 15; Bus 28; Bus 82; Bus 278 to 'Yuquan (Qingzhiwu)' station.
However, everyone must enter from the Qingzhiwu entrance 'Hangzhou Botanical Garden-Northwest Gate', which is the closest and also saves time and effort. The ticket is 10 yuan!
How about it, are you interested? Do you want to come and watch the plum blossoms?

CATHERINE MANN
It is another year when I am enjoying the plum. At the end of February and the beginning of March each year, I will always come to the card for the Lingfeng exploration of the Hangzhou Botanical Garden. In the days when there are sunshine, flowers, and birds, the depressed mood caused by the rainy days in Hangzhou has disappeared without a trace. I hope that Hangzhou's warm sunshine can stay for a few more days!
