In the heart of Yan Taishan Commercial Block, our family found ourselves immersed in the vibrant energy of modern China. Skyscrapers towered above, adorned with neon lights that illuminated the bustling streets below. We navigated through a maze of shops, each offering a kaleidoscope of goods, from fashion boutiques to traditional tea houses. The aroma of sizzling street food filled the air as we sampled local delicacies, embracing the fusion of flavors that epitomized contemporary Chinese cuisine. Amidst the hustle and bustle, we paused to admire the sleek architecture and vibrant street art, capturing snapshots of urban life in motion.
As we dream of our next family adventure, the enchanting landscapes of Iceland beckon us with their otherworldly beauty. Picture us marveling at majestic waterfalls, soaking in geothermal hot springs, and embarking on thrilling glacier hikes. In this land of fire and ice, we'll witness the dance of the Northern Lights and encounter unique wildlife against a backdrop of dramatic volcanic terrain. From exploring charming coastal villages to traversing rugged wilderness, Iceland promises an unforgettable journey of discovery and wonder for our family to treasure forever.

Fuzhou, a severely underrated treasure of a tourist city
Here, banyan trees shade the streets, and the aroma of tea is everywhere.
With its three mountains, two towers, and a river,
This is Fuzhou, half bustling life, half poetic charm.
The romance here always catches you off guard.
Ancient temples, teahouses, lanes, forests, sunset cable cars...
It boasts both cultural richness and scenic banyan charm, great for viewing and photography📷
If you come to Fuzhou, you definitely shouldn't miss out~
1️⃣ Gushan
From the stone steps at the foot of the mountain passing through 'Seven Pavilions', to the lookout tower at the summit where you can see the panoramic view of Fuzhou, taking the sunset cable car down the mountain at dusk is simply too romantic~
2️⃣ Fuzhou Trail
Fuzhou's urban forest trail, also China's first steel-structured aerial forest trail, connects five parks. Strolling here, watching the sunset glow over the mountains, especially the night view, is very atmospheric.
3️⃣ Yantai Mountain
'Evening glow over the green mountains, high hills and low rivers' - this place is Fuzhou's artistic landmark, with foreign consulates, stone churches, and traditional gardens, also known as 'Little Gulangyu'.
4️⃣ Sanfang Qixiang
Known as the 'living fossil of China's urban lane system' and the 'Museum of Chinese Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture', the real cultural essence lies in the lanes on both sides of the main street, with the Love Tree on Nanhou Street being a popular spot to check in.
5️⃣ Minjiang Park
Walking here, the most surprising things are the forest hideaways, the bald cypress trees🍁... You can also drink tea and chat on the lawn, a place for entertainment and leisure.
6️⃣ Xichan Ancient Temple
The foremost of Fuzhou's five great Zen forests, and also the most famous place to view lychees. The landscape here and the distant pagoda complement each other, everything in sight is picturesque.
7️⃣ Jin'an Lake Park
A great place for camping, tea drinking, walking, and boating. Breathing in the misty aroma of tea, watching the Ferris wheel under the evening glow, this is the life one longs for.
Explore Fuzhou with your heart, and you will find that the beauty of the Banyan City is no less than that of other places.
In 2024, go to Fuzhou with them~

Fuzhou·Yantai Mountain Park - A cultural hub not to be missed
Yantai Mountain, known for its 'misty mountains and high hills overlooking the river', marks the end of the traditional central axis of the ancient city of Fuzhou. It has been praised as the 'World Museum of Architecture'.
Though not tall, it stands proudly with its unique cultural charm, drawing the attention of people from around the world.

Fuzhou | Yantai Mountain X is the epitome of nighttime romance
One must visit Yantai Mountain City Walk to see the night view in Fuzhou. Specialty stores/New Year lanterns/Jiefang Bridge/Zhongzhou Island/the light show from the opposite CPD are very photogenic and atmospheric.
📈Recommended route: Shangxiahang → Youth Square → Youth Club → Jiefang Bridge → Zhongzhou Island → Yantai Mountain
🔘Zhongzhou Island
An island on the Min River, filled with imitation European classical architecture, where you can snap a photo of the same castle featured in Jay Chou's music video. It's currently under renovation, so you can't enter and can only take photos from outside. Along the way, there's a section with a pink castle, a low-budget version of the Budapest Hotel with a pink facade. At night, lights are only on from the side of Jiefang Bridge.
🔘Yantai Mountain
A museum of international architecture, still preserving the century-old mountain streets, Western buildings, and ancient gardens. It's very crowded at night, a gathering place for young people. If you want to leave the bustling city at night, you can walk further up the mountain. Taking a stroll there is also very pleasant.

Who knows! I'm so satisfied with the Yantai Mountain guide I made that I can't sleep
Yantai Mountain is known as the 'Exhibition of International Architecture' in Fuzhou. I especially recommend an off-the-beaten-path citywalk route that covers the classic spots of Yantai Mountain
Start from the B exit of Shangteng subway station —— pass through Wanchun Alley —— arrive at the most beautiful corner —— Cangshan Cinema —— Yantai Mountain Park —— Huaiyin Li —— Shicuo Church —— Yantai Mountain Historical Museum —— the former site of South China Women's Arts and Science College (opposite to the commercial district, security may not allow entry, optional) —— If not going to the Arts and Science College, head to the Yantai Mountain Commercial Walking Street (filled with numerous cafes, popular restaurants) —— Sunset Viewing Bridge (next to Cangqian bus station, a perfect spot for watching the sunset) —— Zhongzhou Island (Fuzhou's Budapest, currently under renovation) —— Fan Chuanpu Church (open hours are not fixed during the week, open on Sundays, a Catholic church with beautiful stained glass windows, visit at your discretion) —— Youth Club (in a different direction from Fan Chuanpu Church, via the Heart of Min River) —— Shangxia Hang (next to the Youth Club)
I hope everyone can experience the beauty of Yantai Mountain, the beauty of Fuzhou~

Yantai Mountain is imbued with a rich artistic atmosphere
The streets of Yantai Mountain are long and lined with tall banyan trees, and along the streets, there are cultural relics buildings of various styles.
Beyond the spire of Tian'an Hall flows the quiet river, and behind the tall white walls lies the quaint stone church, whose roof is mottled and covered with moss. The two ancient trees in front of the courtyard are still lush and verdant.
The Methodist headquarters has been converted into a cafe, where you can see the soft lighting through the windows, and the interior is decorated in the style of the Republic of China. When tired, sit down for a drink and slowly enjoy the street view through the window.
Some windows of the former French Consulate are already broken, which can't help but make one sigh at the vicissitudes of time.
The American Consulate ruins are relatively well-preserved, with two rose bushes blooming with white flowers in front of the door.
Does everyone think the cultural relic building cafe under the sunset is unique enough?

Yantai Mountain Park
♥Reason for recommendation:
Art is at the end of history! ◎On the bank of the Minjiang River, Yantai Mountain successfully buries the dust of history in the modern blue sky and green grass and the lights and wine, if you feel that there are few people on the streets of Fuzhou, they are probably all in Yantai Mountain.
Yantai Mountain has gardens, cafes, dessert shops, restaurants, schools, and grocery stores, where you can stroll all day without feeling bored. It's very suitable for checking in and taking pictures!
It's worth going, I've been there twice, (day and night)
Transportation strategy:
Subway station: Shangteng Station (500 meters on foot)

Gulangyu in Fuzhou is endlessly charming, making people never get tired of it even after ten thousand visits!
👀Some say it's like Qingdao, some say it's like Gulangyu, but in fact, it has its own unique charm, unknown to others!
🌈Half of the romance of Fuzhou is here. In the streets and alleys of Yantai Mountain, at the corner, through the ups and downs of a hundred years, witnessing history and poetry.
📍Location: Cangshan District, Yantai Mountain
🚇Transportation: Get off at Shangteng Station on Metro Line 1
🏯There is a large area here in Yantai Mountain, not only Yantai Mountain Park, but also many streets and buildings, which are very photogenic and scattered.
🚶I strolled around for half a day and summarized a route: Metro Station→Wanchun Lane→Lixin Road→Park Road→Progress Road→Maiyuan Road→Huaiyin Lane→Lequn Road→Dongqun Road→Chiho Lane→Y+space→Cangqian Road→Metro Station
🌟Come to Yantai Mountain and feel its unique charm!

This is really the reason why I fell in love with Yantai Mountain in Fuzhou
The traditional culture of Fuzhou is really too strong.
I really can't leave Fuzhou.
This is the first time I have seen such a good integration of traditional culture.
All are intangible cultural heritage handmade lanterns! I highly recommend everyone to come at night! It is also very suitable for taking Spring Festival atmosphere photos.
vasquez.the.valdez
Fuzhou is experiencing a significant drop in temperature, but the atmosphere here is still festive
A cold wave is about to sweep through Fuzhou, and this time it's not a drop from 30°C to 15°C, but directly down to 0°C!
I arrived at my happy hometown - Fuzhou Yantai Mountain before the big drop in temperature! With the arrival of the New Year holiday, Yantai Mountain has also started to light up, a huge 'lantern dragon' is perched on Yantai Mountain, this is the recently popular 'big tail lantern dragon'! The Year of the Dragon is coming, it's definitely worth a visit!
⚠️How to quickly reach the big tail lantern dragon: walk to the end of the alley next to McDonald's, you can see a direct elevator, take it from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor, and you will see the 'big tail lantern dragon' when you exit the elevator!
📸Shooting tips:
1️⃣Because there are quite a few tourists coming and going, it is recommended to bring a tripod for shooting large scenes and use long exposure to filter out the crowd.
2️⃣Using a large aperture fixed focus can highlight the details of the 'big tail lantern dragon', and combining it with people will add a more humanistic flavor.
3️⃣Different angles will give different visual effects, it is recommended to walk from beginning to end, from top to bottom, there will definitely be unexpected discoveries, and you will definitely be able to take satisfactory photos!

| Yantaishan-Zhongzhou Island-Shangxiahang. Hello everyone, we are the nomadic dwellers yiyi and little chef.
The winter in Fuzhou is really comfortable, most of the time the temperature is 10-18℃, not dry or humid, very suitable for outdoor play. We were originally going to Quanzhou and Xiamen in 3 days, but we felt so comfortable that we didn't want to leave, and we have stayed for ten days!
Then I will share some of my favorite citywalk routes one after another!
✅Today's route:
Yantaishan-Zhongzhou Island-Shangxiahang, we probably strolled from 11 am to 7 pm, total steps: 1.8w
✅Our specific arrangement:
Yantaishan in the morning, lunch in the commercial district and went to Love Island by the way, then returned to Yantaishan to continue strolling and afternoon tea, in the evening we went through Zhongzhou Island to Shangxiahang.
🔶Yantaishan:
A must-visit place in Fuzhou, but I don't recommend rushing through it, it's worth exploring.
There are many Western buildings preserved since 1845, including churches, old foreign firms, embassies... and the trees are shady, very suitable for walking, to feel the charm of the city of Fuzhou.
🔶Love Island-Zhongzhou Island
Both are on the outskirts of Yantaishan Park, just across the road.
Love Island has a bridge that connects to a park, the scenery is quite good, and you can look at Zhongzhou Island from the park, I think this is the best place to view Zhongzhou Island.
🔶Shangxiahang
From Yantaishan, cross Zhongzhou Island and continue walking for a while to reach Shangxiahang. I recommend you to go there after four o'clock, the light is particularly good, the river runs through the ancient town-like buildings, it's beautiful. Compared with Yantaishan, Shangxiahang is not so crowded and lively, and the night view is also very good.
🔶Food recommendation
🔸Nanma Tang: Local Min cuisine, recommended by locals, the dishes are not bad, the environment is good, very suitable for dining for more than 2 people. Highly recommend their seafood porridge and Pianzaihuang herbal tofu!
🔸fufuland: The original flavor soufflé is delicious!
🔸Tangmo Chaxi: Local milk tea brand, recommend Mulberry Fu, ice or room temperature taste better
🔸Blue sauce: The fried chicken is very good, if you don't like sweet taste, don't order tiger skin fried chicken
🔶Travel tips:
1. Weather🌤:
The weather in Fuzhou this season is generally comfortable, recently it has been 10-18℃ up and down, slightly cool in the morning, the highest temperature is from 3-5 pm.
2. Clothing Index👚:
I have been wearing long-sleeved T-shirt + down jacket, yes, down jacket, not hot when wearing; little chef is fleece sweatshirt + thin jacket. Pedestrians on the road are dressed in autumn and winter.

Yantai Mountain by the Minjiang River
There is also a Yantai Mountain in Fuzhou city, which overlooks the Minjiang River and is strategically located. During the Yuan Dynasty, a fort was built here with cannons, and during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, a beacon tower was set up on the top of the mountain as a place for alarm, hence the name Yantai Mountain.
Yantai Mountain in Fuzhou is located by the Minjiang River in Cangshan District. It is the end of the traditional axis of Fuzhou ancient city and a hillside block with unique cultural charm. From Fudao, Sanfang Qixiang, Shangxia Hang all the way to Yantai Mountain, the distance is very short. Yantai Mountain is only 41.6 meters above sea level, and it is easy to reach the top.

Yantaishan Park, the park is surrounded by the sea on three sides, the hills are towering, the trees are lush, the green and elegant, and the scenery is charming. It is an important birthplace and symbol of the history of the city. As early as the Kangxi years, Yantai Mountain was hailed as "the first of the eight scenic spots in Fushan."
Choose a sunny day, meet with Yantai Mountain, the mountain is not high, quiet and subtle, completely covered by the trees of the green color, the bluestone paved mountain road, not seen everywhere, is covered by a green.
A beautiful European-style small building, just right in the place, simple red, white, simple carved, like the green skirt of the mountain, just a little brooch.
The highest point in the city of Yantai, the lighthouse on the top of the mountain. The lighthouse is stone-like, hard and cold. It is embedded in a period of time. It is the landmark of Yantai, boarding the lighthouse observatory, coastal scenery and coastal The whole city is completely covered.
