Bratislava Castle is the most prominent building in Bratislava City, located on a hill on the banks of the Danube River, is a white and red, four square building, a bit like a big bed with four tents, so it is called the Quartet Castle. It was part of the ancient Roman castle until the 10th century when a stone castle was built as a military fortress during the Kingdom of Hungary. In 1635, to resist the aggression of the Turkish Empire, four towers were built. A fire in 1811 turned it into a ruin and was rebuilt after World War II. It is easy to walk up, less than 10 minutes, overlooking the Danube and Bratislava. The attractions are generally ok, mainly with their own characteristics in the structure.
